View from my new office

Just landed a gig as Director of Real Estate for a securities/banking firm. One of the perks is a corner office on 37th floor. I can see ~230 degrees. Here are some shots out my windows.

Starting at the left - south Dallas/Oak Cliff

West down Main St

A tele shot down Main. Arrow points to the grassy knoll.

Northwest - white curved roof in middle is new American Airlines Center.

North - don't remember the name of the build now - used to be Allied bank tower. Pretty cool structure.

Looking northeast - several other builts.

Very nice. I bet you are eye level with the Southwest jets when they are on the Northbound approach.

I always wondered who works in those buildings.

Cool view. Thanks for the pointing out the grassy knoll, I would never have noticed. Now get back to work!!! They're not paying you to take pictures. :D

Good luck with the new job.

Now that you`ve got a camera, light up a cigar and call up a bunch of hookers, J.R. Ewing ! (I always suspected that`s how people `work` in thoses offices).

Just in time for the next Terrorist attack on Americn skyscrapers....

On the upside, you have a window office.

On the downside, you have to look at Texas.

livi 09-13-2006 11:26 PM

Yes, very Ewingesque !

First thing your customers here you say: - "Can I fix ya a drink, Bobby ?"

The gig I landed as consultant pediatrician has earned me a room the size of a small bathroom. One desk, one chair and no windows.

Thats what I get for living in a pseudo-communist country.

Mark,
Need any IT guys? (I work for Ford... for now... Nice view! Congratulations!

competentone 09-14-2006 04:08 AM

Wow! If I had views like that, I wouldn't use it as just an office -- I'd turn it into my home!

Do you have room to set up a bed in there?

VINMAN 09-14-2006 04:54 AM

Look, a black Audi wagon!

You and me both. Got any business ideas you need a partner on?

JeremyD 09-14-2006 05:12 AM

Sweet - I know that area well, worked for several years in DT. Almost miss it from the pictures - but I don't miss the traffic, or the heat, or the cold.

Nice office though.
