Naked Juice vs. Bolthouse
Ok,
Can someone tell me why Naked Juice products cost twice as much as their Bolthouse equivalents? I drink the green one: Green Goodness - Bolthouse Green Machine - Naked Juice I drink one of these in the morning because I'm not big on eating fruit and one of these takes care of my daily needs. So why the massive price difference? Are naked-juice just ripping me off? Do I get the same nutrition from both? The labels seem to indicate that, but I know little about nutrition, so maybe someone can fill me in. Green Machine : 3.99$ Green Goodness : 2.50$ SvK

Juice? What do you do for fiber? The old "apple a day" saw is true...but apples don't cost enough, right? Kind of like a starbucks coffee is $$ "better" than a cup of joe at the local diner?

Actually starbucks is... um... very different from a cup of joe at the dinner/fast food joint... however I can make much better coffee than starbucks at home for pennies.

I have always wondered why naked was so much more expensive.

Here the little Bolthouse are 2.99 and the Naked juices are 3.29. My wife buys the Bolthouse juices at Sam's 5.99 for 2 of the 33oz. bottles. They have the Green Goodness, Chai Protein, Apple Carrot, and I think Strawberry Banana. She was able to get the Naked Energy at Sam's for about a month, but it was $9 for 2 bottles!
She seems to like the Bolthouse stuff better anyway, so it works out okay for us. She seems to think it's all a marketing thing, you're paying for the name as much as anything.

never heard of either. a louis vuitton purse costs a lot more than a regular generic purse. they both get the job done. one has more snob appeal. could be as simple as that. like i said , i know diddly about either product, i eat fresh fruit. no label needed.as a matter of fact i wish they would quit putting those little stickers on the fruit.
p.s. some of the high end products also can or bottle for other users. maybe you are getting naked in a goodness container anyway. p.p.s. i don't like starbunk coffee either. for more reasons than i will go into now. |
