I really like 928s. Went to a couple "Sharks In The Park", 928 gatherings in Tilden Park, those guys are super nice and their cars are gorgeous. Checked out some supercharged 928s, those things are fast. You can get a 928 built out to 6+ liters and supercharged, it'll be a rocketship. I would love to have a nice 928S4 or GT/GTS sitting next to the 911.
Next time you're in your 911 and meet a 928, give him the thumbs up, when I've done it the reaction is surprise then a big smile. |
I enjoy all the Porsche, Audi, VW and BMW offerings.
928's clearly have the power. 911's are really good. I like my 914-6, though. I have a lot of stickers on the rear window. You can only see them unless you are right behind me on the track. But when I speed off, you can't see them anymore. Heh, heh... KT |
I love all Porsches. Well except for the mini-van one.
I hope to have a 928 GTS someday...I would even settle for a really nice S4. |
The only Porsche people I've heard slamming other models of Porsches besides the 911 are that 911 people. The 928, 914, 944, 968, Boxster,Cayman, Cayenne, etc... folks are all polite to me when they see my car and they never say anything rude (at least not to my face) like I've heard 911 folks say about their particular cars

At the GAF earlier this month I heard some jerk tell one of the 914 guys, "Come on over if you want a ride in a REAL Porsche. The 914 guy responded by throwing him two fingers, you guess which. There ensued an exchange that included the term, "a$$-dragger". Why is all that necessary? MUST what I drive be seen as BETTER than what you drive? MUST my Dad be able to beat up your Dad? What a bunch of junvenile idiocy.
I would LOVE to have a perfect S4 or GT, a Guards red manual trans one with Cups on it. Man, nice car. |
I said this before:
Back east, on Tuesday nights in the Summer, the owners opened their parking lot of a 50s style burget and fries place to folks who wanted to show off their cars. I had my 944 (and it was running) at that point, and I also belonged not only to PCA but to NHRA. My wife and I would take the '44 up there, open the hood and then walk around examining all the cars there. At no time did you hear anyone dissing someone else's efforts, no matter if it was a completed job, a work in progress or a rat. Everybody respected the effort and ingenuity that went into the cars. Go to PCA. Show your 944, 924 or 914 and just start counting the smirks. I still belong to PCA, but sometimes wonder why. |
911 driver giving my 944 the thumbs up.
