The Benglas do look good this year, don't they? Ebb & flow, team fortunes change in the NFL....the era of the dynasty seems to be over. (edit) wrong guy responding here...I'm not a gambling man.

New England is the only one that seems to have real staying power. Though the cesspools of suckitude seem to have the same inhabitants most years, it would be nice to not have the highpoint of my Lions season be training camp every year

Check that, our highpoint is actually the draft.

Oh yeah...and the difference between college & the pros shows.
Chad Johnson of the Bengals, now a NFL "star", played for the Oregon State Beavers. Joey Harrington, former Oregon Ducks QB, was a star in college. Now a backup for Miami after failing to "save" the Lions? DamnedifIknow...I just tune in the tube & watch.

The Patriots are a great team but even I'll admit they have an awful big hill to climb this season. Their defense looks solid (to be expected under Bellichick), their offense looks like it can be good if they can get the timing & fundamentals locked in the way we've come to expect. Maroney is going to be fabulous as long as he doesn't get injured. So far the offensive line protection for Brady has looked pretty solid, so that's a plus. I think they have the tools to get the job done and I'd expect to see the team get "tighter" as the season goes on. The problem is a lot of their tougher opponents are at the front, rather than back of their schedule. Should be interesting but I'd almost expect to see them in the postseason unless the injuries start piling up.

Spot any team 2 touchdowns and they'll win. The only thing more enjoyable then the glee you have in them losing is the pain you must of felt when they won it all last year since they must really strike a nerve with you. Once again, who do YOU root for?
