wouldnt you feel stupid almost crashing a supercar?

Well I thought I would share a video where Clarkson isn’t destroying a 911. My friend of 20 years Mike Maez a young aspiring freelance photographer, got to ride along with his friend Blair Bunting in a koenigsegg ccx. Apparently this is the very car the “stig” from top gear crashed. Koenigsegg fixed the car and uses it for test drives at events.

Mike gives me a call after coming back from Las Vegas and tells me the story over the phone that Blair almost crashed the $800k car. Naturally im laughing hysterically in disbelief. He said Blair was going to post it that night on Google so we all can enjoy the embarrassing encounter with the cursed Koenigsegg.

Heres the videos, enjoy!

Blair and Mike

the Stigs rematch

Wrong forum, I'd say... more suited for OT.

That said, I wasn't that impressed with the video... he didn't seem like much of a driver, and it wasn't much of an off, IMO.

Nice car, nice guy, but he was driving waaayyy too tenatively. But I guess that the fear of wrecking a $800k car would make any driver take it a little on the slow side.

Grow a backbone? I was just saying it wasn't quite what I thought it would be based on your description... no "crashing" involved, not even that spirited of a drive.

Wasn't meant to be a slam on you or anything, just a comment about the video.

Geesh.

it was a lot closer to crashing than I'd want to get in something that costs close to $1mil.

I'd much prefer to keep the tires on the tarmac at all times.

Looks like he lifted to quickly in the corner. A little throttle steering would have made that a pretty cool bit instead of a boring semi-off. Maybe I'm old school but, didn't that console look a little Jetsons?

But aren't they supposed to find the limits of the car (or of the reporter)? Remember Top Gear actually did crash the car.

I don't think he's a reporter, just a photographer.

He did have a spiffy shirt and hat though.

Lol I wasnt angry or trying to be a ***** Jeff, and my description said "almost crashed". If you look in the video, there is a wall not to far from where he was.

Just saying i personaly would feel like a Shmuck if i went off coarse in a car worth more than my 3X what i paid for my house.

So lets hug and make up....j/k

photog, reporter, whatever. Ain't their car. Yes, I would feel kind of uncomfortable telling owner, "I seem to have found an unforgiving portion of the performance envelope. You might need a tow truck"

Don't get me wrong... I'd feel huge pucker, but for that matter, I feel that with my OWN car when I'm on the track!

Yeah... writing off someone elses car is right up there on the list of things that really suck.
