IME, double the estimate and tripple the time estimated to complete the job.
Sounds about right - you must be a contractor.

Rick,
Check out Highland Village. It has been ranked the top suberb to live in in all of North Tejas. Ed Hughes and I live in Highland Village. It is a great town and the homes are nice, new and right now affordable compared to the nice parts of Plano or Dallas.

Where is that in comparison to Bedford/Euless? The job I took is at Harris Methodist H-E-B so I would like to end up within 10-15 minutes of the hospital. My wife and I were preliminarily looking at Coppell, Colleyville, Keller, etc. Southlake is nice but expensive...

Bedford / Euless is about 15 minutes away, 25 if you are in rush hour. Your can get a 3500sqft home that is 2 maybe 3 yrs old for $275 to $300 in Highland Village. The schools are ranked the highest in the state and the taxes are in line but not high compared to some towns. I wanna say the mil rate is 15 but I can't remember off hand.

When you come up I can show you guys around.
