You mean the 0-4 Raiders?
Just sad. Heck, one of my good friends is a diehard Raiders fan. For a few brief moments this afternoon there was enormous positive energy as he could bask in the Raiders redeeming themselves and I could enjoy a week where my Patriots were looking like the team they are. Evidently someone told Brady to show up this week, but I digress. . . Turned ugly for him, good for me in the end. I really feel badly for the Raiders fans - I really do. They really don't have much to "go forward" with off of this week's game though - except that maybe the defense had a great first half. . .

No, they're 0-3. I think they had a bye week on the second week into the season. Didn't do them much good, though.

You're right, sorry 'bout that. 0-3 - forgot about the bye week.
Should be 0-4 even so though. . . I heard they went into that one with the bye favored by three touchdowns. (sorry, couldn't resist. . .)

My favorite NFL team is whoever is playing ther raiders.
Al davis kinda pisses me off, but the real reason I hope the raiders lose is the fans. Being a raider's fan down here almost means the same as being a gang member. Mostly (but not all) troublemakers and lowlifes. If a raider's game is on TV, people will intentionally stay home instead of going to a pizza parlor or sports bar because they know there will be trouble. Hopefully it will just be a fight and not a shooting. If some other team besides the raiders is playing, then it's OK and everyone will behave themselves usually. |

There are gangbangers in VENTURA?!?! Sheesh. I'm in Long Beach and even I don't worry 'bout 'em too much.
Of course, don't go to parts of North LBC at night, but generally it's a non-issue. I thought Ventura was all down-on-their-luck fishermen, ex-navy guys and a bunch of illegal crop-pickers that worked the fields to the east. . . Guess not.

I agree with the gangbanger analogy. Hell, wasn't it a Green Bay game at the LA Collesium where Raiders' fans killed a Green Bay fan by pushing him down the stairs.
I've been to a couple LA Raiders' games, and yes, it looked like a scene out of the movie "The Warriors." I'm glad they're gone, and hopefully, no pro football team will come to take their place.

i have been a raider fan since the 70's, the raiders of john madden, kenny stabler, mark vanegan, the tuz, ted hendricks, freddie b, cliff branch, ghost-to-the-post and willie brown. i no longer live and die with them, kinda gave up on sports fanaticism after 02. my raiders and giants both lost title games.....
back to al and his merry band of idiots. why is it most every raider coach since the late 80's (except gruden) always look so confused on the sidelines? i got offered some free tickets for sundays game and that is like the LAST place i want to be on a sunday afternoon! T$
