Question about enclosed car trailers....
I'm in the market for an enclosed car trailer. It will mainly be used to store a car and go to the track a few times a year. I've looked at Pace, Wells Cargo, Haulmark and a few others I never heard of. They all seem to be priced about the same. The one I liked best so far is the Haulmark. It's 20' with 10,000lb GVW. I know I don't need the 10k GVW, but I like overkill and I would think it's good for resale??? Anyone have any input on what I should buy?

I just bought a 20' Haulmark with 7,000;b axles. Very happy with it so far. The Haulmark and a few others have better framing and axles than some of the cheaper ones. If you want to go high end you can go to an all AL enclosed trailer for $10-20k.

I reasoned that I would only need it about 4 or 5 times per year, so I went with a cheaper one. A decision I regret.
It is a 20' "Continental Cargo" with a Vee nose. It has poor build quality. The floor anchors were improperly reinforced, the walls have a lot of flex, and the roof vent looks like it was installed with a sledgehammer. My point is to avoid Continental Cargo, and to really, really inspect your trailer before you sign the paperwork and hand over money. |
