Thank you officer/Sat morn breakfast

The first Saturday of every month at 9 is our breakfasts get together in Wilmington NC. Woke up a little late and was in a hurry to get down there so I was going a little fast. While driving through Holly Ridge NC, I had slowed down because of traffic and saw a cop sitting on the opposite side of the road blocking a lane of traffic with his lights on. As I was approaching the car, he got out and watched me pass him by. Thankfully I was going the speed limit at this time. Mind you I had not been paying attention to how fast I was going earlier. About a half mile down the road he flies up on my ass (was still going the speed limit) lights flashing. I pull over and get my license and registration ready. Hand the officer my paperwork and he asks me if I had seen the white SUV with the blue lights flashing about 10 miles back. "No officer I did not." That was a DNR officer and he has been trying to keep up with you for the past 10 miles. They have no jurisdiction to pull you over so he called the PD. He was pacing you at from 80-105 MPH for 10 miles. A bout this time 3-4 mins have passed and I see the SUV he was talking about pull behind his car. I had my gf in the car with me and he gives me a lecture about driving like a dumb ass and that I could have killed her. The officer then tells me to pull my head out of my ass, and hand me my license and registration back. That was a pucker factor of about 10. The only reason I think I did not get hauled off to jail or get a ticket is that the officer did not see me speeding and it would have been the DNR officers’ word against mine if he had taken me to jail/ticket. Anyways here are some pics from our breakfast meeting.

Wow did you get lucky. I'm suprised he pulled you. I find law enforcement lax in NC. Maby it's just because I live in VA, home of the uptight cop.

So how would that be different than if the officer had seen you? It's still no more than the officer's word against yours in court. No evidence required whatsoever. No witnesses whatsoever. No proof whatsoever. Sorry, just venting a bit. It's a weird, illogical, messed up system with rules tht sound as if they were made up by little kids. Cool cars, by the way.

If the officer had seen me he could have tagged me with his radar gun. The DNR did not have one could only pace. With the gun reading he would have cause to take me to jail
