Kitchen fawcett just quit again! WTF?

We bought our house new over 10 years ago and I must be going on my 5th or 6th kitchen fawcett. This one, an American Standard, over $100 at Home Depot, just quit in the middle of doing dishes. Not a drop, but the garden spray is working fine. This seems to happen like clock work, every 1.5-2 years and they just quit. The others were all Kohler and all too were over $100 units with the sprayer. Is all the plumbing stuff you can buy now at HP or Lowes junk (China) or is it because this part of the house has a small cementery about 100 yards away? Way frustrating! Our water is from the city and is n not hard. The pressure is fine. I have been on the phone with the manufacturers and they just send me a free bag of parts every time. Anyone have a similar experience?

Do you have exceptionally hard water where you live?

There is a little valve in the base of the faucet neck (depending on which model you have) that controls the flow of water between the main faucet and the spray. It shuts off water to the faucet when you pull the trigger on the spray. Take off the faucet neck, remove the valve, replace if you want to or just leave it out. You will have increased water pressure without it but the water will come out of both faucet and spray at the same time, which reduces the effectiveness of the spray.

Teague: We own all the land. We have already made arrangements to relocating the cemetery.
Steve: Oh, you're kidding. Oh, come on. I mean that's sacrilege, isn't it?
Teague: Oh, don't worry about it. After all, it's not ancient tribal burial ground. It's just...people. Besides we have done it before.
