Home defense package complete (slippery slope)
As much as I am trying to stay off of the slippery gun slope, I just can't help myself. This stuff is addicting. At the recent bequest of my wife, I picked up a new compact Bersa Thunder .380 handgun for her (It is a surprise for our 10th anniversary, although I did pick up a diamond watch also, per my daughter's wise suggestion
![]() I have always owned guns and served a stint in the Army Reserves which probably lead to my weak moment awhile back when I just "had" to build up a Rock River Arms AR-15 (for those pesky woodchucks). Last night while perusing the aisles of Cabelas, I happened upon some cool looking tactical shotgun accessories and before I knew what happened, I was walking away from the cash register with a top folding stock, foregrip and an 18.5" barrel for my old Mossberg 500 pump shotgun! I threw it together last night and showed it to my wife. She was unimpressed and mentioned that she wanted a handgun not some wacko looking commando type abomination (looks like she will indeed be happy with her new anniversary present after all.... I will rub this in good with my daughters who thought I was nuts for buying mom a gun as a present ![]() ![]() Before and after pics ![]() ![]() ![]()

Yep, they have the stuff I have shown at Cabelas. I originally found this stuff on-line at various gun sites, but seeing it in person, I had to buy it right then and there! The stuff is pretty cheap, but functional. The stuff I bought was from ATI. Google: ATI Mossberg shotgun stock and you will find a bunch of this kind of stuff. There are better and more expensive choices for law enforcemment types available from other manufacturers, but I am happy with this stuff for my occasional use.

![]() Why is it that all the fun things in life are dangerous (motocross, whitewater kayaking, aerobatics, fast cars, downhill skiing, guns etc etc)? One of these days I may yet prove my mother and grandparents right. ![]() ![]()
