Coolest/Most Interesting Cars You've Seen "Just Out Driving Around"?

I was coming back from running an errand last night and happened to come upon a Brabus G4 just cruising down the 605 freeway. . . Amazing piece of machinery - simply insane amounts of power. He "blipped" it just once and the thing just slid forward through space-time effortlessly. It didn't "lurch" or "jump", just 60 mph up to about 90 in a half-second smoothly and effortlessly, without a ridiculous amount of noise, then he coasted back down to cruising speed. Pretty impressive.

Got me thinking, what are the other "cool" cars (exotics, etc.) you've seen out there - not at shows or events, but just out driving around. Sorry didn't get any pics but anyone that has 'em is welcome to post 'em.

I've also happened upon:
- Lamborghini Murcilago (in the parking garage at work)
- Lamborghini Gallardo (on the 2 freeway going towards Pasadena a few weeks ago)
- Ferrari 355 (in Glendale)
- Ferrari Testarossa (in yellow though, also yesterday getting onto the 57 freeway)
- GT3 (up in the canyons north of Thousand Oaks a few months back)

I'll probably think of a few others. Gotta' start carrying the camera with me more often. . .

Seen just about every exotic car from the last 20 years on the road at some point. But the oddest sight was while passing through a VERY bad part of town, we saw a Lamborghini Jalpa (remember those from the '80s?) slowly idling by. Drug dealer maybe?

Also saw a silver CGT driving one street over from my house last year...........and I don't exactly live in Beverly Hills if you get my drift. Struck me as very unusual.

Here in Houston in the last 6 years I've seen a '73 Lotus 7 w/Toyota engine (the guy pulled into a Starbucks so I followed him and spoke to him a bit), a Lotus Europa (again at a Starbucks), Lotus Esprit, Carrera GT, a Ford GT, Lamborghini Gallardo, a Ferrari F40, early 70's Ferrari GTC, couple of Maserati's (old and new), Detomaso Pantera, and a couple of Lotus Elises, oh and a Unimog.

That's about all that I can remember.

I saw a Lotus Esprit Turbo the other day. I thought that was out of the norm. Considering where I live.

Someone using our office garage commutes in an orange Lotus Exige - I saw it zipping past as I went to lunch earlier this week.

I sometimes see a yellow Ferrari 275GTB NART Spyder driving around in my neighborhood. I'm assuming it's a conversion from a coupe, as a real NART Spyder is one of the most valuable cars on the planet.

Target rich environment here. Mulholland from the Rock Store to PCH always yields a few. Saw an MG-TC and a Maranello yesterday. One of my fav's, 1935 Riley at the store.

You SoCal types should come to the Village Coffee Roaster in Woodland Hills Sunday mornings. Nice collection of cars that actually get driven

On South Beach, I see everything new all of the time. The status symbols are everywhere. What I don't get to see is anything sweet thats more than 5 years old. Hardly see any Elises out here, probably because the tools that have money here wouldn't get it. I see brand new Lambos all the time, usually going 5 mph on A1A revving their engines periodically. There's probably one Bentley for every 10 people. Every 10 feet there is an H2 with 26 inch rims.

There is a Testarossa in my parking garage that I would love to see in action. There's a Ford GT too, and the douche that drives it drives full speed over speed bumps and into potholes and everything.

how about a model T? I guess it wasn't so random since I was riding in it at the time and it was driven by a teammate's grandfather.

saw a gallardo drive by me while i was playing a soccer game, saw a ferrari superamerica

about 2 months ago, my dad looked in the rearview mirror while we were coming back from getting work done on our 93 525 and saw an F430 screaming up on us on the tollway. so naturally we chased it for the next 15 miles. it was amazing how fast that car was and how easily he burned through traffic. and then theres the exhaust note

As has been said in Lost Angeles you will see almost everything... notables have been.
Walking down Colorado Blvd in Pasadena one night I saw a Ferrari Dayton burbling through traffic. I pointed it out to the lady I was with but she didn't get it.
On my daily commute on the Harbor freeway I saw a guy in a AC... not a AC Cobra an old British AC. Another guy commutes in a yellow GT2. In San Pedro there is a guy who must work n the industry or for a car magazine because when I drive past his apartment there is often pre production cars parked out on the street.

At work, usually on Saturday or a nice Friday you could usually see either a Ferrari 355, 430, 360 or 308 come by. I used to run out to the road to hear the exhaust note; co-workers thought I was nuts.

I also saw a Lingenfelter(sp?) Twin Turbo vette at a local car cruise in. Every Friday night in the summer the local McDonald's has a "classic car cruise in" and you could see all manners of nice cars. Saw an original 6 pack SuperBee once. There was a lot of nice stuff I don't even remember, but I have a picture or two (black and white film) of a few that I used for photo class.

Saw a Bentley Continental GT driving through the local 'hood. Coke must be selling well these days.

edit:

Scottmandue's post reminded me a Ferrari 365GTB used to drive past work also. That car looks a LOT better in person than it does in pictures. And the howl of a V12, geez...
