Wrong movies
Just watched the last couple of minutes of "WARGAMES" while I sit here and eat Italian style Romanian Pizza (not too bad) and drink a very very nice Rhone I picked up in duty free in Paris.
My god, how bad can a movie get? Uggh! So so so many factual errors and even the concept was incredibly stupid. What other Horribly wrong movies have you seen recently? (BTW, Rollerball is now playing! and Bach's Prelude and Fugue in e minor is the intro music... I guess I just answered my own question! |
Seven.
I know, I know...it WAS an awesome movie in a lot of ways. No question. Great cast - Morgan Freeman, Brad Pitt, Gwennyth Paltrow, Good acting throughout. But so damned well done about SUCH a terribly dark subject. The way the prostitute dies...hell...all of the people that got killed. The head in a box..... I kinda wish all that talent hadn't been used for that black a project. |
Bad Education
Head Requiem For A Dream The Wall Eraserhead Andy Warhol's Bad Gummo |
Oh, I thought this was movies where the subject matter was "wrong" in a matter of speaking.
In that case, Armageddon (awful, just awful) Dark Water (at least you get to look at Jennifer Connelly) Pretty much anything else Hollywood has put out in the last 5 years |

Movies on my top-ten worst movies list:
Chariots of Fire <-- Still don't understand what the big fuss was all about... Con Air <-- I'm a diabetic, and that aspect of the movie (inmate with diabetes) was soo mis-represented, it's not even funny. The New World <-- Just an all around stupid movie. Agnes of God <--- Why I didn't walk out of the movie theature beats me... Ok, so my list is less than 10... -Z |
RE: Con Air
anything Bruckheimer related is scheisse Fargo I just didnt get this movie at all. Loved Big Lebowski though.. |

Anything Bruickheimer does is cotton candy. It'll kill you, but it'll taste good right up until it makes you retch.
Couldn't agree LESS on Chariots of Fire. Haven't seen it in years but I remember it as inspiring. Just flat out crap? Bonfire of the Vanities....easily the worst thing Tom Hanks ever did....oh wait, that was The Money Pit...no, wait, that was Bachelor Party... Blue Steel with Jamie Lee Curtis. And (incoming flak I know) Darkman with Liam Neeson - groan. |

I really disliked the movie Minority Report. They obviously threw big money at it, but the story was just a mishmash of sci-fi cliches. So many pointless story tangets that went no where. It was dumb. |
Waterworld... caught it for free on cable and still couldn't sit through it. Should have called it MadMax on water.
|
Oooh, loved Fargo and really loved The Big Lebowski, though not the first time I saw it. I didn't get it. Later I couldn't understand how I didn't see how hilarious it is!

the name says it, "very bad things"
i felt like i needed a shower after that one. |
I don't recall many bad movies, since I end up watching them and purging them from my mind until I end up rewatching them on TV. Notables that I can recall:
Vegas Vacation So I Married an Axe Murderer That Will Farrell movie where he was a kid's soccer coach...I saw it like 2 weeks ago and can't remember it Ice Pirates Highlander 2 ... I never saw the first, but saw this in the theater. I only recall that I so didn't understand it. In fact it was so bad that they re-made it for video. And, this POS....http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=258769&highlight=war+of +the+worlds |
Never made it through "Legend".
|
I absolutely hated "Road to Perdition" and think it's the worst movie I've ever seen. Everyone loves it but me, it made me nauseous...
|
Pink Flamingos.
|
I dunno why but Bad Santa was pretty damn amusing. Maybe because we live near Mesa.
