Sweet greasy monkey balls does Pittsburgh suck!
They are getting their asses handed to them by the the friggen Raiders. I feel utterly and completely validated.
Just aweful/

I thought you were refering to the City itself....That would probably start an interesting exchange.
However, I will admit their airport leaves a lot to be desired, second only to Detroit.

Detroit (the city) is worse than Pittsburgh, too.

I concur, my team is worse than Pitt. But really what is that saying?
![]() Now as far as cities, I hold no claim to Detroit. That rat hole knows no equal (but I haven't seen LA either).

I spent many a year listening to my Dad scream at the "friggen g-damm Bears"!, probably a good decade. And its been a decade since then that they've finally gotten any good.
The Tigers sure had their stuff together this year though, and thank God, Detroit spent a lot of money on that new stadium, some would argue for little gain. Funny story: my mom is an electrician with the IBEW and she did a bunch of work on the Tigers stadium a few years back. She's seen the locker rooms and the press boxes, and even engraved our names into the big sign in the outfield (a bunch of the workers did as well).

Anyone have a prediction for MNF? Here's hoping the Pats go to 6-1.
There's a real chance that both the Bears AND the Colts will go 16-0 this year. The biggest chance for the Colts to lose one is next week when they go to Gillette, but as much of a NE fan as I am, I have to be realistic in saying that they've probably got as much chance to win there as lose. They're pretty good this year. I firmly do believe that Bellichick is in Dungy's head though - same with Manning. Should be interesting to see if history repeats. If the Colts win next week, I predict they steamroll for the rest of the regular season and go undefeated on a relatively easy schedule. The Bears are in a similar situation, they go to Gillette two weeks after the Colts do, and don't particularly have a difficult schedule past that. The Bears and Colts don't face one another, whereas the Patriots must face them both (albeit at home). Thus I think the Patriots have a FAR harder schedule. I think one or the other of them will be beaten, but we'll just have to see which one. If I had to bet, I'd say (although I don't want to) that one of them will beat NE at home and remain undefeated. The other will go 15-1 or MAYBE 14-2 if someone pulls a "Beavers" on 'em. All three teams will undoubtedly be in the postseason and one of them might even advance to the superbowl undefeated with a chance to run the table with a completely undefeated season for the first time in history. Of course I'd love it to be the Bears facing a healthy NE team that's hitting its stride at the right time and then have 'em hand the Bears an ass-pounding in retribution for 1985/SB XX, but that's just me. . . ![]() I actually like the Bears - I just have that one sore spot in the same way that I actually kinda' like the Mets, but I'll eternally be seeking closure at the hands of the Red Sox for 1986. 2004's WS victory did a lot and certainly dispelled a lot of demons, but I still think they need to get a WS victory through the Mets to fully exorcise the last of them.

Pittsburgh does not suck, but Roeth sure does. Validate all you want, but he's killing us this year. Look at his stats and the defense. The "team" didn't throw 4 interceptions, 2 for touchdowns yesterday. I will say they are doing a great job of making crap team looks good this year.

I think LD's point is that he's been saying Pittsburgh sucks. Pittsburgh apologists point to poor uniform fit, when the reality is, Pittsburgh just plain sucks. That validates LD's opinion.

In truth, the Raiders have the best pass defense in the NFL. Maybe the best defense overall. They also have the WORST offense in the NFL. They are beatable (obviously), but unpredictable.

![]() I waited......they have shown their true colors. They are an OK team, that is all. They got their ring, but they were not even close to the best team in the NFL. Like they say "On any given Sunday". Well, Pitt had several "Any given Sundays" in a row last year. If the Pitt fans would admit "yea, we got away with one last year" I would respect that. But no....... ![]() If you ran that playoff cycle from the beginning 100 times I doubt Pitt would win even once. They got EXTREMELY lucky. That's fine, thats's part of the game...no problem. Just admit it.
