Have you tucked your baby in yet ?

Been very busy last three weeks. Despite a few days of glorious Porsche weather I did not have time to take her out. Now its almost to late. Expecting the salt truck marauder any morning now and then its over for this year. Lump in my throat and a tear in my eye. No more Porsche for six months.

How about you ?

And no, you lucky bastards in the south does not have to feel compelled to ask what the white stuff is..

Yep. Mine's sitting proudly on jackstands without the heart and soul after the trans fix. I'm going to tackle some of the "while you're in there" projects that I didn't do last time.

Yes - 930
No - 911

We're taking the 911 to the Pelican Dragon's Tail Run this weekend. I try to keep the 911 out as long as possible.

Lot's of people on the board drive year round, not just those in CA and FL. Like, for instance, those of us in Missouri.

Exactly. Probably 75% of the U.S.A. has weather mild enough to drive a sports car year-round, in many places you might miss a few days a year during a snow storm, but be right back on the road when it's plowed and dried off. Colorado and NM have some of the best climates, IMO, with snow and skiing but overall mild winters and NO rust to speak of.

Markus, I know your pain I've still got the old girl out on the road for hopefully another full month, but there's not much time left. One more track day and maybe a fun run, then goodnight... That's why I bought the 944, so I have something fun for the winter!!!

I'm among those who keeps the car ready for a drive year round...Mostly rain all winter here, but there are breaks in that pattern.

Still pretty nice driving weather here in the mid-Atlantic (VA/DC/MD) area. I hope I have a month or more before the E gets tucked in.

Living in the southern hemisphere means I have to watch out for sunburn on my bald patch with the open sunroof.....

So how should I prepare her for the long nights sleep? Never done this before. I used to play with Jeremy this time of year.

teener will stay on the roads all winter long. at least till the oil leak gets any worse. or i get sick from the smoke inside when the heat is on. or the rain starts leaking in. or global warming ends.

havent had to scrap the ice off the windows yet. gets to play garage queen every night though. havent felt like scapping the ice of the subie in the moring, so the teener keeps on rolling along.

It's put away until April in my shops showroom. Maybe I'm getting over my Porshe addiction, but if I'm not driving it on the track, its other uses don't excite me enough that Ican't live without if for the winter. Break it out again in spring and I'll hit the track.

I did last weekend. It wasn't so much the weather that made me put her away as much as the fact that I knew I wouldn't have time in the next few weeks.
