Both, I think. I have 32. Installed it on a two yr. old IBM laptop with 512mb of ram. The machine ran like crap. :rolleyes:

Both.

We have been running it quiet a while. Like all MS products, its a memory hog. It can REALLY help to get a bios updates for your machine, and see if the your video card vendor is putting out an update for vista.

Linux runs great on my file server with only dual Pentium-II 266MHzs and 512MB of RAM. . .

Porsche-O-Phile - that's way over powered for a fileserver... :)

Although if you want to upgrade, I may have a pair of 66 mhz (front side bus speed) P2 chips that are faster than 266...
