Dammit - stepped in dog *****.

Figures. The day I wear my shoes with the nubby soles on 'em too so the offending canine poo can get wedged in there nice and deep. Now I'm stuck at my desk with the occasional whiff of stale dog crap wafting its way to my nostrils. Grr. Why can't people pick up after their animals - I do!

Right now over on the IT blog board is the story of a guy at work, thinks his $hit don't stink. Guy drives a Porsche and rides a bike to work sometimes, but can't take the time or have the public courtesy to shower. He smells like dog ****, according to the blogger.

I know the feeling. My co-worker's breath smells like utter ass. I mean BAD. like he put his tongue up the ass of a goat and gargled pure s**t.

I don't know how to break it to him.

nostril - when he's away from his desk, clandestinely lay a pack of breath mints or gum. maybe he'll get the hint. do it twice if he doesn't. that way you avoid embarrassing him.

I love Paris and France, BUT you have not seen a dog ***** problem until you walk the streets of any French city. Nobody picks this stuff up from their dog, although the law says you have to (you can get a ticket, but I never heard of or met anyone who had received one). They have special sanitation workers who run around Paris trying to keep up with the problem (they are falling behind) and the government actually keeps track of how many people are injured each year slipping on dog *****!!!!!

Oh, I've read that IT blog too.

Shouldn't this thread be merged with the smelly shoes thread?

Got a guy at work whose breath is so bad we call him ***** Sandwich (smells like he just ate one). He gets offered Altoids, Orbitz, and sulfuric acid at least half a dozen times a day. Constantly turns all of them down. Got to the point now where I'M paranoid, and whenever offered gum/mints, I gracefully accept just in case I'm the one with the foul odor that day.

ha ha it's a hazard of the job for me...then again we teach our guys to pick up after them so in just over 18 years I have only had this happen a few times.

'cause my ***** don't stink, of course!

I sorta' thought we agreed with more than we disagreed politically. . . can't remember butting heads with you on any of them political threads. Maybe we did. Dunno. I really think my political views aren't all that "out there" or anything. Here's the executive summary:

1. Bush sucks.
2. Politicians in general suck.
3. Two-party system sucks.
4. We pay too much in taxes.
5. There are too many people who freeload off tax-funded social programs.
6. Government and religion should NEVER mix.
7. Term limits are a good idea. Preferably short ones.
8. Smaller government is better government, usually.
9. People ought to be more self-sufficient and encouraged to take more accountability for their own actions before turning to government to compensate for their own stupidity/inadequacy/wussiness (see #8).
10. The role of government should be protecting the "health, safety, and general welfare" of the public - and the interpretation of that should be pretty tight.
11. SOME limited forms of government assistance are fine, but they ought to be TIGHTLY controlled, monitored and regulated.

I can probably think of others, but you get the idea. We're probably more same than different. But I could still have my head up my ass too. It's possible. And dark.

***** EDIT *****

You know, I just realized we went from dog ***** to discussions about the role of government in under two pages. That's gotta' be some kind of record. Only here.

Extra points if you do one of the following.

- Every time someone walks into your office/cubicle you put your feet up on your desk, sharing the smell with them.

- Walk into other peoples offices/cubicles and stand on their desk leaving "Mr. Hanky" style smudges behind.
