Geez, you guys need to get a grip, and a drink if you like. Bar's still open. :)

Two things I can't wait for:
1) The new separate political/religious forum 2) Moderators to do their job and start banning or suspending those individuals who violate the rules by the lack of mutual respect. |

Arguing politics is like mud wrestling a pig....you'll never win and you'll suddenly realize that the dirty rotten scurvy douchebag....errr umm, pig....likes it.....

Some of ya'll really, really, REALLY need to get a life.
Your priorities are all out of whack. If you could see yourself from the eyes of an outsider/newbie, you'd see how ridiculous you look. This is an car parts board, not the floor of the Senate or the Supreme Court. Those that are fighting 24/7 to "win" arguments here - you're not coming across as a "winner" in anyone's eyes except maybe your own. But this exact same thing is repeated on countless OT boards throughout cyberspace - exact same arguments, by the same type of fanatics/Internet addicts, only the board and screen names are different. Get a grip, go for a reality check, try to objectively look at the amount of time and emotional energy you are spending here. |

The House and perhaps the Senate are about to turn, so people do indeed change their minds.
Even here on PPOT they change their minds. Posters that were calling others traitors a year ago for opposing the war now grudgingly admit that the war was a mistake. So there is hope amid the carnage. |
I think it is important to opine on social/political issues. Unless you know what drives other people, you never know the whole story.
Interesting that there are those on both extremes that claim the other extreme monopolizes the threads, but cannot what they are doing because they are too wrapped up in their own points of view to even consider that of others. |

Do a few things for me real quick. 1. Ask yourself how many Christians or Republicans have defended these actions? 2. Ask yourself how long it too for the Church to remove him from leadership? 3. Explain to me why you are trying to portray everyone who claims to be a Christian as being party to the actions of one. |
I have NO point...I'm just shiiting in a crappy thread.....take a chill pill, beeyotch....

Your questions are interesting. Personally, I see this incident almost as a parable on what happens when an individual puts themselvs on a pedestal as a paragon of virtue. The way the congregation handled the situation I think, was done very well. We will always have the "PTL Club" mindset of a few, but as long as we have the ability to understand that people are flawed and can fall from grace, but does not reflect the community as a whole. |

I would NEVER accuse you of being wrong. How could I? Your self assurance obviously precludes any propensity of error on your part. I bow to your superior intellect. BTW...Loosen up a bit...you take yourself FAR too seriously.... |
