How about a Moratorium on Political threads until November 8th?

It has become apparent to me that one of the posters on this forum who shall remain nameless (but their name means an event where a bunch of cowboys get together and ride horses, rope cows, etc) is dangerously close to rupturing an aneurysm due to the pressure of the upcoming election.

Therefore, I feel it is my duty as a physician to suggest that there be a moratorium on all politically related threads until after the election is over.

It's all fun and games until someone gets their eye poked out...

I Second the motion.

Forget it N-dad. I've been laying out for awhile and it's getting good the last few days before the election. It's time it increase the political posting, not shut it down!

Mark Wilson 11-03-2006 04:12 PM

ND - how about this? Hardly political at all.

Well there goes my thoughts of sex tonight, curse you Wilson.

Bush hates moratoriums. Or is it "moritoria"?

I already voted (early voting) so you can't change my mind, or even if you did, not my vote. Vote often, vote for anyone other than the D word. If your dead and still voting you must be a D.

Fastpat will explode.

Porsche-O-Phile 11-03-2006 06:20 PM

I'm too busy being uniquely American working three jobs to put food on my family.

Jim Richards 11-03-2006 06:21 PM

OK with me. I get taxed but have no representation in the Federal gov't anyway.

But I am praying for a comeuppance for the neocons next week. Oh, I mean I'm praying for a new era of bipartisianship after the election next week. :)

Stay healthy, Rodeo. :D

Tobra 11-03-2006 06:32 PM

fine by me I just wish I could get an exemption from political mail, phone calls and news since I already voted absentee

Put some of it in your family, better nourishment that-a-way.

How about a Moratorium on Political threads until November 8th?

Until November 8th which year?

Jim Richards - you sound like you are in the same position as me. To my mind that is one of the privileges of being a legal resident and non-citizen. No matter how bad things get we can just shrug our shoulders and say "Don't blame me"

Understatement of the year, but then so would Rodehard and one other jerk.

Guys, this is just such a big waste of time, nothing that can be said will change the way that the liberal feel, nor the way that the conservatives feel, so how about using the time in a productive way instead of wasting it?

Thats why you guys have not seen me on the OT political scene. These three main posters are not worth my wasting my time on and would rather use it productively.

Too much fun watching the chaos unfold......And the pundits here thinking that the federal government gives a rats a$$ about their individual views or that it actually works for them.....

Physician, heal thyself.

I view your political threads as education (in between the mud slinging).

As far as I understand it looks like a very even race for both Congress and the Senate.

And you might all wake up one morning in the future, realizing you have elected your first colored President. Good for you! :)
