Slow Shippers Irk Me!

When I sell items I do my best to ship within 48 hours. If there is a special circumstance then I communicate it with the buyer.
When I buy products I expect them to be available to ship and to go out in a reasonable amount of time.

Well, I've been buying and selling a lot lately and can't beleive the number of items which take a long time to get shipped. On one item the guy said "got your payment, it will go out tomorrow." That was 10 days ago and it hasn't left yet. Another one told me the products were available and would go right out. Three calls over three weeks and they finally went to UPS. It just amazes me that people don't think these things are important.
It's not that I desperately need the items, it's that I sent money to someone I don't know, using the trust build from this BBS, and when things don't go as planned I get a little nervous.

Rant over.

I feel your pain. I bought some computer RAM a few weeks ago that it took them a week to ship. When I finally got it, it didn't work. I called them up to discuss it and determined I needed "unbuffered" RAM instead of "buffered" RAM (go figure). I returned the memory the next day (with a tracking number) and was told that my replacement "unbuffered RAM" was on its way. A week later, still no RAM. I'm getting a little pissed off to say the least. . .
