BSG Poll: Is Baltar a cylon?

In light of all the polling going around here, I thought I'd start one about Battlestar Galactica.

So, do you think Vice President Dr. Gaius Baltar is a cylon? A human? Or is he the first of the cylon/human hybrids?

Who else do you think is a cylon?

I suspect that soon enough they will reveal what Baltar really is.

I think he's a plain old vanilla human, for the reasons I've cited in the "On the lighter side...BSG" thread.

My position here is clear. I believe the evidence is gathering that he is a Cylon.

I also think that Tigh's wife might be a cylon.

Known Cylon [human] models:

1) Sharon "Boomer"
2) The guy Baltar fingers as a Cylon and they leave at the weapons depot (How did he know? Takes one to know one?)
3) The Philisophical Guy -- first found at the weapons depot, another was discovered in the fleet
4) Number Six
5) The Doctor on Caprica
6) The Reporter (Lucy Lawless)

I think Human. Baltar was the one human in the old series that the cylons trusted. So I think he's still a human. He's just insane.

I think they want us to think Tigh's wife is a cylon. Not saying she's not one though....

Now the one dude said there were twelve models of cylon. Add to those six the mechanical types:

1. Toaster
2. Raider
3. Base Star (maybe)

Also there is the guy who walks at around talking to 6 and boomer on Caprica...who is he? Is philosophical guy cylon? I am guessing he is.

That leaves three more...unless of course the whole "12 models of cylon" was a lie...which fits the whole deceptive nature of many of the scripts.

Yes. That's him. The Kevin Spacey lookalike.
Other appearances of this model:
- In the mini-series, he was a tourguide on the soon to be decomissioned Galactica. (Same one they left at the Weapons Depot)
- In season one, another Kevin Spacey type got aboard Galactica and almost blew up Tigh with explosives strapped to his body.

I wonder when the doctor model that Starbuck interacted with on Caprica will show up in the fleet?

I introduced my best friend to BSG this weekend. We watched the mini-series. All he could say the whole time was: "Baltar is a cylon, right? There's no way he could have survived the nuclear blast. He woke up somewhere else, in a new body, and didn't even realize what happened."

That is what I've been saying all along.............and they keep showin that clip at the start of every show just to remind you - keeping the doubt lingering.

If he is not a Cylon, then he is some sort of clone. And this series has not even introduced the concept of clones. Every multiple human in the series has been a Cylon.

But he was hiding behind the blond cylon woman - maybe the cylons are built to withstand such a blast. We don't have the details, but when Sharon-one planted the bombs in the water tanks, I'm pretty sure she didn't hold her breath for the duration...
