I had 4 sticky pods in my car for anyone who asked to use for the day Saturday and no one asked.

Next year I will make it better known they are available along with other gear. That was fun putting it in other cars.

Speedracer944 needs to be filmed in action. He defies logic.

I sent Wayne a thenk you via PM and I felt the weekend was a lot of fun. Next year I am chalking off Wed through Monday for the weekend to better prepare.

I am sure we will have a banquett on Fri and Sat nights along with cocktail hours. If any P-car related business would like to sponsor any of these functions that would be great. I might even do this with my non P-car company next year if business is good over the next year.

I also plan on staying at Fontana for Fri and Sat nights so I can hang out and socialize more.

As much as I enjoyed the PCA and their generosity, I would like to see this stay a Pelican gathering and not a PCA one. The PCA has lots of events all year long and they also have plans to turn this event into something or better said take it in a direction I think we agree we do not want to go in. I would like this event to keep its quaint feeling and its unstructured "do what you like when you like" type of feeling.

There were some cool stories being told on Saturday afternoon. One couple went off and found their parents old college a few towns away. They did this after 1 pass of the Dragon and had a ball.

Others wandered around, and still others logged a ton of miles in on the Dragon beating the brakes off their cars and in some cases killing puppies.

I am sure this event will grow some more next year but it can still keep that small group feel.

It would be awesome if Wayne could dedicate a forum to this event like the MINI crowd does.

Maybe he can give me some lessons...

Maybe next year he'll have my old 'S' put together...

Maybe next year I'll consider going...

He was behind me for a while and there were times when I could hear all hell breaking loose behind me but I was too busy dealing with the road to look. I just hoped he was still on the road when I looked back, he always was.

He claimed I was holding him up. I figured he was full of it, since when I exited a series of turn he was not that close. I followed him on Sat. Afternoon and could not keep up. He goes insanely fast where he can, faster than I care to drive on a 2 lane public road. On one straight I decided to give chase and when I hit a speed I am not discosing I decided it was not worth it to try to keep up and let him run away.

You go run with him, and see the insanity for yourself.

But don't get me wrong, I had tons of fun and my grin was not bigger all weekend running with him. He is FAST and knows how to throw a car around, and seems to not be afraid of getting it out of wack. He has a lot of raw talent and I urged him to join the PCA and get some DE events under his belt.

When I met Speedy, he asked me if I heal/toed my 951. I don't--I can't. (Clown feet and all...) I still can't figure out how he does it. The pedal spacing is all wrong in my opinion. I've been following his progress on putting a Corvette engine in my burned-out 944S. It's obvious he has tremendous mechanical ability also.

Thats cool and its a PCA event. I would like this to stay a Pelican event where everyone is welcome, you don't need a membership to attend.
