I am a tooling manager at a small aerospace composites company. The pay is decent. I am married with 2 young daughters. My wife stayed home until 2 years ago when the girls started school. My wife got into real estate and now makes more than me working part time. Now we have disposable income which means more track time and $ for upgrades. Life is good!

I think there was a post like this a while back on the main 911 board.
I'm a network engineer. Not working with Windows and servers and that sort of stuff. I build/maintain/troubleshoot the stuff that connects PCs. Currently I work for a company that provides Voice over IP and data services for various companies (mostly oil industry) over satellite connections.

I'm a sales rep for a off-shore semiconductor assembly foundry. Basically, the whole industry of semiconductor assembly has been offshored, and I'm the last remnent. I'm not the highest paid guy in the world, but it's OK. The industry is still a lot of fun even though it's matured a lot and the people are generally really good. Unfortunately, it's an industry where if you're not in it now, you most likely won't get into it. And if you're in it now and get out, you're out for good.
My wife is a software engineer and also makes more then me, so we do OK. But then again, I've never put even $10K in any one year into my 911. It cost less then that to buy, and since then it's mostly been just maintanance. I've been spending more lately as I've been getting all of the engine bits to build a race engine and transaxle. I'm in the home stretch on that now. But even with that, it's been well less then $10K.

Stay at home Dad but I have a very tight budget. Will go back to work soon though so I can have more $$ to fund the project.
