OK, was away for a while, so only got to see some of the comments now. Here's a couple of answers then:
Firstly HOT night (37 degrees) probably made me look a bit worse for wear. Nope, no alcohol at the time the pic was taken, only orange juice (not that that is where it ended!) Here's a (slightly) better pic then...  As for the ring someone asked about:  And yes, that is a sapphire, and no, those are not zirconiums! Importantly, she loves p-cars, and is looking at buying a pre-73 targa, so she is quite a find then isn't she! Thanks lastly for all the well-wishes!
