Let's Go For a Walk

First, the tram ride up to the trailhead:

Now just follow the path:

stomachmonkey 11-09-2006 03:07 PM

Oh hell no.

I have a SEVERE problem with heights. Not afraid of them at all. I just get this really strong urge to jump.

Directions: So you make a left turn....

Antisocial refuge.

teenerted1 11-09-2006 03:18 PM

i was wondering where those locks went. wonder if they want the keys?

Icemaster 11-09-2006 03:21 PM

Reminds me of climbing Mt. Champlain in Acadia in Maine.

Only about 100 times smaller.

Seahawk 11-09-2006 03:22 PM

The tram ride is more frightening...

I don't run into very many people who understand this, but it looks like you do. And the best reason for the urge I can come up with is "because I can." For this reason, I might be agreeable to go onto the flat roof of a very tall building, but I won't go to the edge.

Scooter 11-09-2006 03:45 PM

I get the same feeling....very strange.

dd74 11-09-2006 03:57 PM

Well, friggin' fantastic! Each time I turn on my computer, I'll now have vertigo!

Thanks.

Some acrophobics also suffer from urges to throw themselves off high places, despite not being suicidal.

Scooter 11-09-2006 04:01 PM

I'm 5' tall, I just have a fear of being tall. ;)

Porsche-O-Phile 11-09-2006 04:04 PM

Reminds me of the cables on Half Dome at Yosemite. Pretty fun.

Yeah, but you photograph taller.

BTW, Scott: remember I was asking about your Boxster for a friend at work? Well, she bought (or leased) a new Bimmer roadster instead. I actually can't stand the car. It's black and ugly - in fact phallic in its ugliness.

But I guess some girls are into that. :D

Jumping wouldn't be the problem.

Reaching the bottom and stopping - that's the bit that's tricky.
