VinMan is Great

Vinnie and I got together for a couple of cold ones this evening at the ESPN in Time Square. We talked life, cars, politics, boats and had a great time. Thanks for the company Vinnie! I'm the one with the hat.

I wouldnt say I'm great, maybe "way above mediocre".

Had a great time! Hugh is a really cool guy to hang with. Wish we had more time. You definately have to let me know when youre in town again.

Maybe we should have every day as a 'Pelican Featured Member' Day?
Start a post like this about a random poster, or one you've recently met and then everyone can join in and say how great they are whether they've met them or not - or even if you don't think they are - I don't care.

I think it would do wonders for self-esteem.

I'm going to take Hugh on his word...

WAY TO GO VINMAN!!

I travel a lot and I always try and post a "Who's in XYZ" when I do. I've met nothing but quality people. And it sure beats sitting in my hotel room reading the stuff that you guys post on PPOT! Just kididing, I actually have a (sort of) life.

I realized right after we walked out, we could have walked a block up and went to the Hawiian Tropic Zone. Waitresses in swimsuits! problem is, I'd still be there.

Motion, the lighting was bad in there...

I can vouch for Hugh ... it must be the camera angle or the lighting. When I met him, I thought of him as a young Brad Pitt, with maybe a touch of Clooney.

And man, was he in great shape!

Yes. Yes. That shirt just doesn't do anything for you. Makes your hair look grey too.

Actually, the hat makes it look like you have hair.. just teasing! Hugh, are you working on the movie being shot here now? there's a set built on the city dock and lots of strange people running around town. Just wondering. If so, give me a call if and when you get near town.

If your ever in Florida let me know, I am sure I can break that "quality people" streak you have going.

Hey John,

No I've not got any shows in Louisiana right now. Have you gotten your 911S running?

it runs, just haven't had time to run it for a few years or the desire.. for some reason, pools have become a necessary item lately. I've been ordering them 2 at a time for months now, and looks like I'll be selling 3 more in the same neighborhood I'm working in. I've got one next week as soon as I finish this one. Have 3-4 more at the first of the year. Too busy to even work on the 37 although I have a new front suspension sitting on the living room floor for a month now. The most I've done so far was remove the front sheetmetal (fenders, hood and grill). Quite unusual to still be working this late in the year. Damn water is getting too cold those days I have to get wet. there's parts of my body I can't find for a while after a few hours in that 60F water.

Lucky I was out of town or I would have dragged you fellows to McSorley's Old Ale House. You have to be doing something right to sell beer for 151 years!

Alas, sorry I missed you, but it's probably just as well, as I would be buying all the British Car magazines now looking for a DB- something!

Ah, McSorley's!
I've forgotten many a drunken night in that place!
