My Bro`s Triumph MKIV
I am very proud of my little brother. He fully restored a 1972 triumph MKIV in a little over a year.

Very nice.
Most likely better put together than off the original assembly line! ![]() |

Sweet! I had a '74 Spit and loved driving it. Too bad it was British made...constant breakdowns. Oh well.

That reminds me of my youth I owned a 65 spitfire with a TR 3 engine ,bought it off female art student that installed a teardrop hood scoup on it That thing haulled azz. She did the scoup for a grade in her art class and did quite a good job. I bought it from hyer and took the wood dash off and sanded it down and it turned out swell. bought a hard top for it. and a sport wheel for it and cruised every sunday up to Loose Park with little bro and we waxed it religiously. The chicks loved it .

Almost forgot that thing had torque, I went through about four rear axles backing out of hilly driveways.

Tell him "Great job"!! Plus, I love the color!
It's great working on the spit engines, but if he made it through the electrical without going insane he deserves alot of credit!! Now we just need both of our spits next to eachother at a British Car Gathering!! Here is my '69 MKIII: I can't find alot of my "before" picts, but this will give am idea. before: ![]() ![]() After: ![]() ![]() Pass on the congrats! -Nick

I had a '72 Mk IV years ago. That thing used to vapor lock terribly bad. If you take the hardtop off, it'll run faster!
It was fun going down the mountains, but kind of ho-hum going up. Good job on the restos.

Yeah Rammstein, the whole cowl tilts. You sit on one of the front wheels, and set your tools at the base of the windshield, and fix whatever. (There's always something needing fixed.)

Very nice Spits. Reminds me of the old Bugeye Sprite I had years ago.

Good color
Jag XKE's have that flip front thing, but the release is next to the footwell instead of on the side of the car. I remember putting 10w oil in those old side drafts I like how an old, proper British car drives, or the sporty ones I have been fortunate enough to drive

I had a Mk2 and loved it. After a while put a Triumph Vitesse 6 cylinder in it and it was a monster. Would go sideways in 3rd gear and drove it for years this way.
Very nice job! Joe

Well - my French is a bit rusty. That gives me a perfect excuse to go to Paris for some practice.
