Anybody use one of these?
I was cleaning out my garage this weekend and came across a mini-lathe that I picked up at a garage sale a few years ago. It's an American Edelstaal Unimat DB-200 that looks like it's only been used a couple of times. I don't have a pic of mine but found this one on the web. There isn't a manual with it and I don't know wether to keep it or get rid of it. I was wondering if any of the DIY Pelicans have used one before.

I used one years ago. Very basic, but nice for small odd-jobs. Any lathe is handy in a garage IMHO...

Agree and I have one like it. Not the same maker but size. When small things break you can make a replacement or tinker with other stuff.
A search on the 'net comes up with this: http://www.blueridgemachinery.com/Unimat_SL_accessory.htm http://www.unimat.homestead.com/ http://www.unimat.homestead.com/techtip.html

Thanks for the links Joe, it probably will need new belts, it still has a set in the package, but they will probably break, being 40 yrs. old. Steve, I think I paid $25.00 for it, but never used it. I need to buy the manual and see if it's something I want to use and hold onto or get rid of as I already have too much cr*p..
