Two weeks ago I had a dinner that consisted of some Triscuit crackers and those little cocktail weenies. You know the ones about an inch or two long. I was visiting a friend and we were too busy watching sports to cook.

In college, baked potatoes, toast with cheap syrup= french toast, generic Ramen noodles, "death dogs" from 7-11 (two hot dogs in a left open styrofoam box piled to the max with all the toppings available)

Ramen noodles. They kept me alive through college (two times) and fried rice and soy sauce. Hate to say it but I still eat the noodles at times.

Kipper snacks. Being part Danish helps... but they still smell. My can will not even eat them but if you wash them down with Aquivit or Vodka it helps.

Found some Vienna sausage recently and tried them. They still taste terrible but better with BBQ sauce.

In college? Absolutely. Kraft Macaroni and Cheese in a box was 10 for $1 when on sale. I coulda wrote a cook book around ways to prepare that stuff.

I also made a lot of potato soup, loaded it in jars and kept it in the fridge for quick-access. Potatoes are still under $2 for ten pounds. That's nearly free food.

I used to eat a bag of chips.

Sometimes a 6 pack will make a nice dinner too.

Or combine the two or substitute the chips for Doritos then you have a nice meal.

In college, I would buy a loaf of freshly baked bread from the Publix grocery store on my way to classes. That was my breakfast and lunch. I use to stress about what I was going to eat some days. Even Ramon would have been a luxury

It just so happened I had a couple of packages of Ramon last night with some left over BBQ beef thrown in. I spiced it up with some fried garlic, soy sauce, lemon juice, sugar and hot pepper sauce my sister made for me (HOT!).

Ah yes back in the day chips and beer for dinner

I had a red Barron frozen deep dish pizza for dinner a few weeks ago... I have never been to prison but I bet their food tastes better... I choked down one slice and threw the rest away then made a peanut butter sandwich.

Your right. Some good evenings out. I remember thinking - I have five bucks left - pizza and a soda, or one more pint? Usually went for the pint..

Food wise - ramen. About the worse thing in the world for you - MSG, sodium and trans fats.. All bad.

Oh god- not red baron. That should be outlawed. Once we got a deal on a crate of the stuff in college and everyone ate that crap. It was like ketchup on cardboard. Its only value is to completely evacuate your system prior to surgery or something.

Well there is the "room spinning around" effect that can be rather unpleasant.

Kraft mac & cheese with cut up hotdogs thrown in the water as you boil the noodles. Chili over Fritos, Ramen, Tomato soup over spaghetti, and Pop Tarts for dessert.
