gt4 but am willing to give forza2 a try when it comes out ;)
still making my way through the latest splinter cell winning eleven for my soccer fix (most realistic gameplay. period.) haven't made the leap into socom yet... |

It's funny, but despite all these flashy new games with realistic graphics and sound effects, the old Atari games are still cool.
I have a son who's 6 and a stepson who's 12 and when they come over to stay at my house they love playing Atari, even though they have PS and PS2 at home. Their favorites are Combat (with the tanks) and Frogger. Do you think that the newer games are complicated to learn but easy to play, whereas the old games are the opposite? Sometimes simple is best. That's what I keep telling myself anyway. |
I could never do sports games beyond Techmo Bowl. They were far too complicated for me after that...

GT4

My favorites:
Driving games: NFS: Porsche Unleashed. Grand Turismo 4 Daytona - it is an arcade game that is simply wonderful. Old graphics, but lots of fun. "Old Schoo" Arcade type games: Millipede Asteriods Moon Patrol Ms. Pac Man Galaxian Burgertime Shoot-em ups: Area 51 Miscellaneous The Hive (Old PC game) Super Mario World (Super NES) Super Adventure Island (Super NES) Firefox (Super NES) Ace Combat 4 & 5 (PS2) Spider Solitaire. -Z-man. |
Coincidence or something rigged here - but the little ad below is for gametap - an online arcade style gaming place.
Hmmm - maybe they ARE watching us.... Grabs aluminum foil hat... -Z |
i've been playing racing games on my ps2 for years......gt3, gt4, F1 , racing trucks, nfs, you name it.....out of all of them gt4 was the top game, but then i stumbled across Toca3.
Toca3 has one of the best racing "engines" i've ever played, the physics are realistic, damage is realistic (softer shocks damage easier....if you break a shock the tire also wears pre-maturley).... a lack of different cars is made up by the vastness of different types/eras of racing. there are also F1 cars from the early days to senna to modern, also the computer difficulty is adjustable up to 110% and comp controlled cars are inteligent and won't ram you for no reason like other games........ the best one out there.....if you like good racing action it's a must have :) also online compatible. a review http://www.totalvideogames.com/articles/TOCA_Race_Driver_3_Review_9458_4607_0_0_10_0.htm on the right in this link are some video clips of spa and such. |
GT Legends

B-52 Bomber (voice module needed) Basketball (2nd version) Football (2nd version) Bomb Squad (voice module) Sub Hunt Reversi, Backgammon & Chess (if you had 24 hours to play a game against the box on the higher levels - it might take 3 hours to make a move) |
Best game platform game of all time
Ocarina of Time - N64 Number 2 position: Chronotrigger - Super NES Also ran: Super Mario - N64 Best PC Game (with mod) of all time: BF with Forgotten Hope modification. ...just my humble opinion, but all those FPS (save FH), race or fighting games are for pubescent kids |
Fallout
X-COM Space Bucks Port Royale 2 Heroes of Might and Magic III |
how did i forget the tomb raider series-that game ruined my (and a select few freinds) social life for at least two months per release!)

Intellivision - Baseball
|
Far Cry.

Intellivison. Let's see. I am a few days shy of 43, but roughly 22 years ago, me and my twin brother came to blows in the front yard over Intellivision football. Trip to the ER ensued. Good times.
Lately. Does anyone fly AcesHigh Combat Flight Simulator? This is addictictive. If you like flight sims, this is the bomb. HiTechCreations.com. I am not affilliated, just an enthusiast. WWII combat flight sim with 100 to 300 people flying in real time, shooting. Very Cool. Also, as a FPS, Counter Strike. Out |
On the PS2: GT4
