Mixing and recording Music for Windows
A friend in need...
He plays and composes music, mostly Guitar.. he wants his computer to be a 4 track or better recorder. also needs software to lay down some beats. any recommendations???? Nothing special or complicated, as he is computer Challanged.

there is sequencing software called 'reason 3' that would give him everything he would need. a big desk (16 tracks and more) loads of effects. i think it has sampling too

For Multi-Track recording, nothing beats Cool Edit as far as I'm concerned. 128 tracks, I believe. 32-bit audio, too.
Cool Edit was bought up by Adobe and became something else...you can still find the original Cool Edit if you look... |

Thanks for the input...i found Acoustica Mixcraft and Beatcraft.
This should suffice. now if he can put the Blunts down long enough to learn this stuff, There might me some new music on the Horizon.
