Anyone know of stereo receiver with A, B, & C speaker outputs?
I'd like to find a 6.1 receiver to run my 6 speaker and subwoofer surround sound that also has two additional pairs of speaker outputs. Most have a B output, but I can't find one with a C output. Anyone ever seen such a beast?

I've never heard of such a thing (but that doesn't mean much)... What I've done is 'split' my signals to (in theory) two different amps. I say in theory, because I actually run my system 'bi-amped' to the front two speaker towers (one amp (mono mode) per tower), a single amp (in stereo mode) driving the rear speakers, and another amp driving the two speakers in my bedroom. I fully realize that splitting the signal isn't optimal, but in my case, I've got plenty of power (almost 3000 watts) driving it all. It rocks

Many of the upper end A/V recievers have a multi-zone/room feature. Is this something which would help you, by setting it to the same source?

I see that Marantz will allow you to use the two rear center channels for C speakers, but then you go from 7.1 to 5.1 surround. I sent an email to Marantz to see if they have any other options.
I've got a splitter to split the B channel, but my not very old receiver just died and I'm wondering if this had anything to do with it.

I was looking at one of these a couple of years ago, two zones. Click on "Details".

So far, everything I've seen that can do three rooms loses the rear center channel when all three rooms are used. I've got a rear center speaker in the ceiling so I'd like to keep it too.
They take the 6th and 7th channel of the surround sound and let that be the C speakers. The only other option I'm finding is to use the receiver pre-amp outputs to another amp for the third room. The only problem with that is it's more money and I'm trying to avoid that. ![]()

You can use an external speaker switch to select multiple speaker pairs from the B channel, or use the line-level output of the receiver to drive an inexpensive separate amplifier.
