UCLA Tazing Incident
It looks like this is turning into a major *****storm.
Chain of events as I understand them: * Library personnell ask for the kids ID, which is policy to be in library after a given hour. * Kid says "No" * Library sez "provide ID or get out" * Kid sez he won't provide ID, and he's staying * cops are called * kid won't cooperate with the cops, gets tazed. * kid is screaming and cussing at the officers, gets tazed again. Lather, rinse, repeat. Slow learner: as soon as the pain wears off, he's screaing at them again I don't feel sorry for him. He says he was leaving, but if he really wanted to get out of there before the cops got to him, he could have been gone. He basically thought he could challenge authority without consequence, and when said consequence came down on him like a ton of bricks, he got even more rebellious and indignant.

It was apparent that tasing him wasnt going to do the trick. They showed a lot of restraint. They should have just hog tied him and carried him out like an animal! When did they stop using maze? That would have turned him into a little girl real fast.

I hope they expel him over this. No excuse for that kind of behavior from a college kid.

We had a young male tazered in a city council meeting in Saginaw. He refused to remove his LA Dodgers cap after being asked many times. He was then escorted out by police. He became beligerent and got a bite from Mr. Tazer. Dumba$$.
He was on the local news a couple of days later saying that " to men his age, a baseball cap is part of who they are and he shouldn't have to remove it." He was attending the meeting as homework for a calss at a local university. Funny, I don't see too many highly paid execs wearing baseball caps to the office. Dumba$$!

Oh, I long for the days of young and stupid.
The kid needs to be deported to a well-run Socialist country. They use a bullet to solve this type of problem.

I'd say the officer's were more than accommodating given the kid wouldn't do anything he was asked to do. I would expect he may have been utilizing some recreational drugs (or he was off his normal meds) prior to going to the library or it may have been a planned event. Regardless, the stupid shlt got what he deserved.
Given the recent experiences of violent acts in schools and universities across this country, he is very fortunate he didn't get the Rodney King treatment. Sounds like one of our resident bar room lawyers here on PPOT has some relatives in CA. I can't imagine why a person in a proper state of mind would behave in that manner. in medical terms "altered mental status" He was endangering everyone in his immediate vacinity, could easily have had a gun, knife of some kind of weapon. A mug full of pepper spray might have taken the wind out of his sails a bit more effectively. They recover too fast from tazing; just look at any police footage from beligerant traffic stops and the like. If the kid can scream like that just moments after getting tazed, it's obviously not effective enough. Maybe taze him once to see how bright he is, spray him next if that didn't work, and if he still has some fight left, club him like a baby seal.

No pepper spray due to the enclosed area would be my quess. If they had sprayed the idiot they would likely have cleared the entire library for the rest of the night.

Of course it's being portrayed as a Middle Eastern "racial profiling" incident. When are they going to learn. I've never been tazed, and you know why? I was taught that when an officer told you to "Get down!", you got the f*ck down....

Guess who is going to get the last laugh? they young man from Iran has accepted the help of at least one Muslim backed legal organization, and is filing suit against UCLA, the california public university system, and the state of California. Oh yeah, now I remember why I hate lawyers.
This pimple in the backside of the world is going to get millions of dollars, just for being a spoiled little brat who doesn't know what being a guest is all about. The worst part is, a small part of that money he will get is going to come out of my pocket. I'm not advocating violence but if someone shot the little ba$tard (and his lawyers) I wouldn't shed a tear. |

it appears that he has no case in spite of what some ACLU lawyer might have to say. He was causing a disturbance, to say the least, had no clear right to be there and would not comply with police request.
Seems to me the police were quite restrained in their behavior. What were they supposed to do, allow the ********* to stay there and kill some innocent bystander. I didn't realize he was of ME origin until reading other posts, kick his a$$ out of the country. |
