anyone know this tune?

I was looking at guitars on Fender's website and came across this short sound clip. It sounds familiar, but I don't know what it is and it's driving me crazy! Anyone recognize it?

Sounds a little like "Walk Like a Camel" by Southern Culture on the Skids

At first I thought maybe Ghost Riders In The Sky, but this link ruled that out.

Now I'm thinking it may be from The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. It's close...but I'm not convinced.

Perhaps one of those surfer tunes by Dick Dale or someone like that. Seems a bit slow for that though...

I'd never heard "Walk like a camel"...weird song.

I think the clip might be from an instrumental surf song. Come on, someone has to know. It's driving mr crazy!

legion, I'm in Springfield.

Definitely sounds like SCOTS, but they always did a ton of reverb on those old surfer-sound amps. It's 11 seconds, what makes you think its a real song and not just noodling?

Sounds like a short riff from Duane Eddy's version of "Ghost Riders in the Sky". It was an instrumental.

It's very reminiscent of a riff in "Jane's Getting Serious" from the 80s...

Id say it sould like one of dozens of licks from surf bands like "The Venture" or Dick Dale. They love their whammy bar!

Many years ago I was a ventures guru. I played all the songs, owned all the albums, saw the ventures in concert, and played 4 songs with them at the NAMM show. That riff is not a venture's song.

In fact I don't think it's a surf tune. Probably something someone just made up while fooling around.
