Another stupid idea coming out of the land of fruit and nuts.

They have run out of ideas on how to legally make money so are now grasping at straws for anything to keep their lifestyle alive.

Somebody need their ass kicked.

"The MPAA defines a home theater as any home with a television larger than 29" with stereo sound and at least two comfortable chairs, couch, or futon. Anyone with a home theater would need to pay a $50 registration fee with the MPAA or face fines up to $500,000 per movie shown."

Unbelievable!

To top off the stupidity....

"The bill also stipulates that any existing home theaters be retrofitted with the technology or else the owner is responsible for directly informing the MPAA and receiving approval before each viewing."

Jeez, what's next??????

I guess my 120" screen will get me into trouble? I bought the rights to play movies when I bought them (or paid the Directv bill)......

What about cars with very large speakers?

I wasn't specific enough. Glickman needs his ass kicked.

"Just because you buy a DVD to watch at home doesn't give you the right to invite friends over to watch it too. That's a violation of copyright and denies us the revenue that would be generated from DVD sales to your friends," said Glickman.

You've all been had. Look at the other articles at the site - a bit more obvious than this one.

A spoof indeed. Nevetheless, the more TV I see, the more I like my stereo. Hollyweird sure is putting out a lot of crap these days...
