AAA and VFW stickers included..

OFF-OFF-Topic

What do you guys think?

A real live piece of American History. One of the great Marques. Put down like a mangy dog..

Uncle Fred is getting too old and is giving up driving - so has given me this thing for the cost of the last repair bill.

Oldsmobile Regency 98!

I don't know what I am going to do with it (road trip?) or where to park it. But I am glad I have it.

This is a picture I found on e-bay. It is the exact color and model.

I have the Buick version. Park Ave Ultra with 64k. Supercharged and all the toys. My wife uses it everyday. Nice big car and comfy.

You could not pay me enough to have a boat like that. Sorry but not my cup of tea and IMHO one of the reasons why American car makers are almost bankrupt.

x2 +1

I'd sell it and buy something (anything) else/smaller/more fun/less senior citizen. However, you could use it to above handicap parking spots at the early bird dinners.

Call me Commodore!

Whose cup of tea is it really? A now eighty three year old widower a dozen years ago when he was still active and driving his wife to church every day..

This is a piece of rolling American history! An Oldsmobile. Does that word ring hollow?

I once owned what was probably the pinnacle of craptastic American cars - a 1977 Buick Regal. Think of what it would be worth today!

Complete with 8-track player.

Make sure you ALWAYS have your turnsignal flashing, even when on the interstate. I believe that is mandatory, and pobably in the Regency 98's owner's manual.

Elitists. When I was a young sprout I had a 1951 Olds 98 "Holiday" hardtop with (of all things) power windows and "Wonderbar" radio. What was under the hood was a bit more fun...stick hydro and a bored out 1955 motor with a four barrel. So-called Ford Interceptors never had a chance!!

It was a different world back then. $.25 gasoline and no miles of plumbing & dozens of sensors to dilute the fun!!

I do not adhere to the philosophy that European cars are superior to American late models. I am at an age where comfprt is paramount!!!

"Make sure you ALWAYS have your turnsignal flashing, even when on the interstate."

Alternatively you could have the seatbelt dragging on the pavement making sparks.

Only thing worse would be one of these in the station wagon version.
