cocky M5 vs 911's at the nurburgring

if you can excuse the pair of twats in the M5 then you may enjoy the shots of a 993 and a pair of 964 RS's going for it at the 'ring

It's a very rare occasion that I wish evil on someone, but I would LMAO if that **** passenger would have lost his camera out the window!!!
Kudos to the M5 driver who at least showed some respect for us unfortunate 911 drivers.

A couple of thoughts-

I wish this vid had a scene like in "The Driver" where the passenger of the M5 (Madonna) gets unceremoniously dumped out of the car on a corner.

I can't imagine doing the 'Ring on a bike! Too much traffic bigger than you.

The bikes are a pain! Really slows a good driver down by the looks of it.

SUVs??

Buses???

Gotta give BMW credit - a big sedan running the ring like that. Very inspiring.

I'm not so sure that's Sabine driving in that second vid. I could be wrong, but I don't think your average Joe could keep up with her even if he's in a GT3.

If you've been to a DE or two, you've probably seen a stock 914 pass new 911s. Amateur driving comparisons are almost always meaningless.

The ring looks fun though. But I'd wear a helmet!

They must give driver's licenses to 12 year olds in Europe. I was simply stunned by the unbridled arrogance and stupidity of the BM(V?) driver. Someone out there must know who this ass is, God help him if the right folks find out.

If you listen closely to the vid again... I think the driver is basically OK ( attitude)..it's the camera-man passenger that's irksome...

I wouldn't be so sure he was from Europe, I didn't listen to much of the audio but he could just as easily be from NY, CA or anywhere in the US. One thing for sure, he was an *********.

Sounded like a couple of dumbA55es. They'll get thoroughly spanked by something at some point. Unfortunately that won't help, they'll just make up excuses as to why it wasn't their fault.

Entertaining would have been for a GT2 or something to smoke past them at the end.

I thought the passenger was giving direction to the driver (who was the ass). Interesting point of view when taken that the passenger was the ass and the driver is apparently giving him a tour. The driver must have been embarrased by the remarks, although he did not say anything.

My comment on 12 year olds and European licenses was a joke - meaning the guy was acting like a 12 year old (who would not be able to drive in the US). No doubt he was American. Some of the biggest *********s I've ever met are right here in the good ol' USA.

Very true...But in my (somewhat short compared to a lot here) experiences, the biggest a-holes I've met were Americans.

EDIT - with that attitude, it won't be long until those guys crash.

Another comment on the drivers-

I'm guessing they were recent "Ring School" grads. They seemed to have the arrogance of someone who had a little knowledge, but a sophomoric attitude. Probably did a one day school. To me, the driver seemed competent, if not a poor judge of worthy passengers. The comments about the Porsche drivers not knowing the line are absurd. How many people really do know the line on that track?

I don't wish bad things to happen to people, but I wouldn't have minded those two getting balled up on a guard rail. What a-holes. Reminds me of some DEs I've been to where we had to excuse the driver (s) for the rest of the day.

OK that was a cool video but, WOW! I was embarrassed for that guy. He was acting like he'd had a six pack before hopping in for his ride.

I thought they were both being numb-nuts. I thought I heard several comments from two different people. One much more of an ass than the other.

It certainly takes considerably more skill to hustle an older 911 around the track than it does in a new M5. I believe that the 911 drivers in this video were also experiencing more sheer driving pleasure than these two...
