Under the Hague and Geneva conventions the vast majority of people we have caught and interred are not POWs(or EPWs for you youngsters), they are ICs- "Illegal Combatants".

ICs are not protected to nearly the same degree as POW/EPWs are precisely because they are illegal combatants. The very term indicates that they are 'mere criminals', not soldiers.

Short of arbitrarilly executing them, we can do pretty much whatever we want with them within the constraints of the US Constitution and the UCMJ.

I assure you, the vast majority of people locked up in Cuba would cut your throat as soon as look at you.
