Anyway, you're welcome. I hope the extra bucks we give you make your life a little easier.

I know it's hard for some people to say thank you, so I won't hold it against you.
Your saying the same thing over and over again, Rick, won't make it become true.

Actually Wayne, as an ex-soldier, it is my opinion that your article is even more 'fluffy' than Randy's.

LOL.

FastPaste, on military service contracts:

That means that the vaunted "all volunteer force" is in actualy fact a non-volunteer force by contract. It is in fact prohibited by the 13th Amendment to the Constitution, but the courts won't enforce that Amendment.

If I can convince a man to work for me at a fixed wage, for 3,4, any length of time up to 8 years at my discretion; and can jail him if he decides to walk away, that's Okay with you?

Here's a revelation, such is prohibited by the 13th Amendment, it doesn't matter what kind of contract is signed, it's null and void at the moment of the signing.
And then there's this little beauty...

Further, if I were "cashing a government check" it would be earned, like from any other business. Contractual obligations are just that, contracts.

You seem to have difficulty with that concept, but do try to grasp it.
What a hypocrite!

Your post of a series of my posts is heart warming to say the least, that you hang on my every word, and would go back more than a day to retrieve them, if not maintaining a collection on your own computer. We'll touch on that later.

but, alas, you've strung together unrelated posts that have little or no flow to them as far as communicating intelligent thought, your thought. Tehre's obviously some linearity you hohped to show, but it's just a jumble.

Too bad.

Something I see here is that most of these kids probably came from Public Schools, that means that the leftist leaning anti American teachers aren't doing as good of a job as they think they are.

Actually, it's called the Search Button, but I wouldn't expect you to understand. Just trust me when I tell you it works very well.

And as for your last sentence...

Tehre's obviously some linearity you hohped to show, but it's just a jumble.

...you do know your "jumbles", don't you?

Who needs a job that pays well when you get that really cool flak vest, and a chance to kill others in a foreign country.

Really...

I imagine that Pat's denial regarding "cashing check" really is just a misleading way to say he has direct deposit into a bank account.

If he really does not receive retired pay...that would explain a lot...

Fastgas sounds just like Cool Chick!

I stopped paying attention to Fastgas, he lives in his own little idealistic world where Black is White and White is Black. He is the type of guy that stands on his little soap box in the park spouting his little amorphisms about how the world should be. Which in the end offers those who struggle with finding real solutions to real problems no help at all, and is just a waste of time arguing with.

That's exactly what it is. They lowered it to what they were able to recruit about 9 months ago now..

I don't understand. Recruiting goals are based on how many we need to keep our end strength at the congressionally mandated limits. They compute projected losses...deaths, retirements, and end of tours...and recruit enough to fill the need. Obviously, recruiting based on what is achievable would be insane. Where do you guys get this stuff...and better yet, why do you believe it? I imagine the liberals that post here must have purchased many bridges in Brooklyn over the years.
