Sad website - faces of meth

I stole this from another forum.

Hover over the before pics to see what they look like after meth has gotten a hold of them. Nasty drug.

If those people want to kill themselves, so be it. Just put the good stuff back in cold medicine.

the 12-18-2006 06:09 PM

So it's a drug that makes the stupid look stupider?

(yes, I know)

pwd72s 12-18-2006 06:09 PM

Meth is indeed bad caca. Per haps we should adopt the laws of other countries...those caught dealing die, users locked up.

Nostril Cheese 12-18-2006 06:16 PM

tweakers suck

Flatbutt1 12-18-2006 06:41 PM

I was going to ask the same thing. Is it something specific the drug causes, or just sores from a worn down immune system?

Paul,

What we are doing now is not working, so a change, any change, is in order. Stuffing the jails full of people caught smoking pot is crazy and I wish that recreational amounts of almost any drug except Heroin needs to be de-criminalized IMHO.

I watched a special on speed a while back. It took a series of photos of people. First one was their initial arrest photo, and as usual most people looked normal. Next one was a year later, and so on for a few years. The transformation was unbelieveable where people aged 10-20 years in front of your eyes, when in reality it was usually around 3 years total but with the effect of snorting/smoking or shooting speed.

Dangerous drug and not like the "white crosses" we used to do in college to stay away to study...

Joe

From what I have seen on the specials, speed freaks get so high and "amped up" that they feel that bugs or whatever are crawling on their bodies and faces and keep trying to scratch them off, resulting in the open sores. Almost every hard core "tweeker" you see has them.

Sad to see...

I pulled in for fuel in the SE last month around midnight at a small town . I was gingerly checked out by the PD's assistant in street clothes as the area is loaded with meth labs.

Anyway according to him only 6% of meth addicts recover in treatment.

it was described to me as "having mice running around inside".

Bingo..

I've been around enough tweakers to know that there is a point where you just cant help anymore... You just walk away and watch them fall into schizoid madness.

Speed is an interesting drug. I tried it once back in my college days. Didnt sleep for two days, crashed hard. makes you feel invincible. Paranoid as f**k too... Honestly, I don't see the appeal

Go rent the movie Spun or Reqiuem For A Dream for a pretty accurate idea of what meth addiction is like.

No arguement from me...the sad thing is that the political power structure seems to think of maryjane & meth in the same vein...boy, are they EVER wrong!

MichiganMat 12-18-2006 08:49 PM

It appears to be a super-aging drug as well. Sores on the face, bags under the eyes, it makes your teeth fall out as well. Sweet, how do I score some!

pwd72s 12-18-2006 08:59 PM

Meth is epidemic in the Pacific NW...when it hits the east coast, Katy bar the door. Tweakers all over this small town...they're easy to spot, as the link shows.

Just getting over a cold, and I can attest that Nyquil is nowhere near as effective in its new formulation.

meth is a bad drug
but even worse is the WAR ON DRUGS

now the fools who use street meth get impure unknown cut drugs
with who knows what other poisons in it
if we stop the WAR ON DRUGS and give peace a chance
at least they would get a pure drug of know doseage
and have to go to a doctor, and have other problems treated
perfect NO but better then the WAR
and would not need to deal [in fact couldnot] with the doctor controling the supply
and gangs and others couldnot make a dime off the crap
sure the stuff is bad but WAR IS WORSE

give peace a chance

Outlanders don't last long around here. Except for the home grown pia this place is super. You can't even rob a bank without bridges being raised on you.
