Nice cars. Movie looks retarded, though.

GKJDSNVISNIEVENODWODOCMKMIAS! Sorry I hate retards. The nerve of them to wreck a CGT, then go and buy brand new rims/tyres.

Yep, I just saw the trailer on TV for the first time. I watched "Forza Motorsports" on Speed TV. It's a "reality" show sponsored by the video game. It's actually a bit interesting. They have 6 "amatuer" drivers, and 6 cars and they are putting them through several different types of competition, 1/4 mile drag, 2x road course (Road Atlanta), drifting, autoX, and there might be something else, I can't remember. With each race the teams get credits to upgrade their cars.

The cars, 2x 350Z, 69 Camaro from Year One, '73 Dodge Challenger from Year One, new Mustang something or other, and new Vette. Most of the cars aren't completely stock already.

The drivers, (from memory)a guy in his 40's that's been racing dirt circles for 20 years, a guy in his 30's that runs IRL and some other stuff, a 23 yo chick that's run something on road course, a 17 yo boy that's got 5 years experience racing midgets, a mid 20s asian kid that drifts, and a 30 something guy that has 10 years of autoX experience.

The mustang with the chick driving (who said she had never drag raced) won the drag race. The 17 yo kid just barely took the first Road Atlanta road course in the Vette and almost got smoked by the Asian kid in the 350Z. It was very sad. I think the kid in the vette was holding the car back.

Now an interesting episode of Pinks is on. I've never watched Pinks before because it looked dumb, but in this one they had over 200 people show up with their privately owned cars to try out for the show. Seeing all of these people try out by running their cars has been pretty impressive. Most of the people that they chose for the semi finals are running around 10 flat. There were some people running low 9's like 9.0, and at least one person hit 161mph. That's haulin' butt. I love speed around corners, but a good firm kick in the butt when you hit the gas is pretty cool too. The range of drivers and cars is pretty cool. A chick driving a '62 Ford truck just barely squeaked by a guy driving a 2005 Vette.

I'd watch that. But I can't watch a movie trailer featuring Don LaFontaine without thinking of Geiko insurance ads!

I just saw this last night. I am not much of a video gamer but I do enjoy racing games out of all the choices. Interesting Idea for the show but the host annoyed me.

Did you notice that while the chick in the mustang was putting up the best times, they also had "mechanical" problems which ended up simply being out of gas... She might have won it otherwise. And yeah, that kid definitely was not pushing that vette, on either race.

Yeah, several of the folks involved annoyed me, the overtanned chick racer, the guy who was scoffing at the notion of a chick driving, and the host, but the cars, racing and other folks were interesting.

Yep, I guess all of the people on the show were annoying. I did like the cars and the fact that they have to compete across racing disciplines.

Did you see the 350Z cut the corner on the grass to pass the vette? Made me laugh because I have done this on a video game before. He almost lost it when he over corrected though....

Other note was that the Year One cars did not seem to be holding up to the abuse very well. Sad for me because I love old American muscle.....

Considering that The Fast and the Furious was over-produced, mindless garbage, I'm not sure if I disagree with you. Of course, this is de riguer in a world in which Jerry Bruckheimer and Michael Bay are kings of the box office.

Naturally, I will suspend all real judgements of this movie until I actually see it.

Plenty of drifting in that one, which we all know is the fast way through the corners!

Typical craptastic movie with rap stars/pimp characters, designed to appeal to the MTV generation and the "man with the voice" saying"...in a world where...". God, I hate this crap!!
