Raped in Oslo

The number of rapes in the Norwegian capital Oslo is six times as high as in New York City. I’ve written about the issue of rape and Muslim immigration so many times that I am, quite frankly, a bit tired of the subject. But as we all know, problems don’t disappear just because you are tired of talking about them, so here goes.

There has been an explosive increase in the number of rape charges in the city of Oslo, but both the media and the authorities consistently refuse to tell us why. They did do so, however, in 2001, when two out of Norway's three largest newspapers, Aftenposten and Dagbladet, reported that most of these rape charges involve an immigrant perp, which again mostly means Muslims. Both newspapers have since then conveniently “forgotten” about this, and have never connected the issue to Muslim immigration although the number of rape charges has continued to rise to historic levels. They are thus at best guilty of extreme incompetence, since their former articles about this issue are still available online.

Norway’s Minister of Justice from 2001 to 2005, Odd Einar Dørum, mentioned the problem in 2001 but has later gone quiet about the issue. The reported number of rapes in Oslo is now six – 6! – times as high per capita as in New York City, yet the media keeps warning against Islamophobia.

According to Aftenposten, the clinic (voldtektsmottak) at the emergency hospital known as Legevakt has never had so many rape victims to treat. Its ability to care for them all is being severely tested. The number of reported rapes has skyrocketed this year.

Two out of three charged with rape in Norway’s capital are immigrants with a non-western background according to a police study. The number of rape cases is also rising steadily. Unni Wikan, a professor of social anthropology at the University of Oslo, in 2001 said that “Norwegian women must take their share of responsibility for these rapes” because Muslim men found their manner of dress provocative. The professor’s conclusion was not that Muslim men living in the West needed to adjust to Western norms, but the exact opposite: “Norwegian women must realize that we live in a Multicultural society and adapt themselves to it.”[/quote]

When I worked in New York, there were a lot of young middle eastern doctors. We would sit around when it was slow and swap stories. For these men, what we call "date rape" was standard operating procedure. If a woman allowed them into their apartment, they were going to have sex. No room for negotiation, no way out. Pretty shocking stuff. They rationalized their sexual aggression by saying. "If she didn't want to have sex, she should not have invited me in."

This attitude is not unusual. Western women are seen as being loose, otherwise they would not "show their wares" as they do. The common man's way of thinking here is that if they are invited in a womans place they are being offered sex, no question asked.

A "proper" woman to them wears an abaya, which covers her from head to toe. This is something that these men can resist but western ladies wear is a totally different thing.

As for the word "no," well it just does not normally exist between a man and a woman in this case, she will be having sex. The only option is does she want to be battered around after resisting or simply give in.

Let me adjust your post a bit...

In all fairness we had a few Christian arabs whose attitudes regarding "sexual permission" were pretty primitve as well. No date rape as I recall, but they were neanderthals nonetheless.

I've done a little web searching via Google. There seems to be a massive media blitz on this topic, pretty much the same people being quoted over and over again, and the same cases being held up. But that don't mean its not all true - looks to be real.

When I did find a pro-muslim site a muslim women site at that (http://www.mwlusa.org/presentations/speech_persec.html), it wrote of women in veils being discriminated against and listed hate crimes against muslims..............but I noticed they did not address this issue of muslim men raping women in Europe. This is a mistake I think, they should show more than one side of an issue, at least that's what I tend to look for.

For the record i have nothing against muslims per se. One of the mods at my board is a muslim convert, and recently spent a few days as a guest in my home. But that does not mean i delude myself into thinking that there are not millions of muslims that would saw my living head off if they got their hands on me for even a second.
