Back to the 1890s!! Back to the 12 hour 6 1/2 day work week! Back to child labor!! Back to the Robber barons!!

Nah, Government should never get involved in employment issues. I can see that now.

Thanks again for straightening out my errant thinking!!

Question....do military personnel actually have to budget for health care?

Then again, there are some folks who are born with all the answers, and the rest of us are just lucky to have run into these few. Otherwise, we would continue to wander around in the fog.........

Glad to know you, fint...you have straightened me out.

If only the others here truly understood the depth of your wisdom and the sageness of your advice.

It took me long enough!!!

If you are trying to make a point, facts would work better than insults. I would be a lot more interested in why you think your examples have such financial problems other than financial irresponsibility. For example, you mentioned military with financial problems. They get a decent, guaranteed salary every two weeks. Their medical care is paid for. You and I have each lived that lifestyle on a far more meager amount. What is your excuse for them?

I imagine there are few of the privileged class that work much less than that. I know I don't.

The type of "government involvement you refer to actually create even more job losses...unless you are looking for government to subsidize business.

Yes. Reservists have to budget for their medical care as well as that foir their families. Active duty have to do so for their family members. Why do you ask?

Not insults...Honest!!! It's the truth. I am beyond the point of trying to refute you. Besides, I realize that it is an impossibility to convince you that in any way, no matter the subject, situation or event that you could possibly be wrong. I know, facts are prone to be overlooked, ignored, warped, skewed or worse, so why bother? Conjecture is SO much easier!!

It is just not worth the effort; it is easier just to "go along" and agree.....

I'm just getting too old for this. Time for a lighter outlook!!

Thanks, fint!! My life is a lot easier now...I will let you do the thinking!!!

Heehee!!!

So, how about a fact now and then instead of almost 100% conjecture. Look back over your last few posts and see if you can find a fact...other than those you claim to be fact....just because you say so.
Glad to make your life a bit easier.

I can't believe you expect the government to ensure employment. That didn't work in the Soviet Union, Cuba, etc...why would it work here? The problems in Michigan are a direct result of greedy workers and greedy unions who prevented manufacturers from remaining competitive with other areas of the country. If they really want to work...and will accept the wages their labor is actually worth, they can relocate to where there are better jobs...I travel all over the country and have yet to find a place (other than on an Indian Reservation) where there is no employment for anyone willing to work hard. As far as health care, necessities, or anything else they desire...they can budget for them...just like the rest of us do.
That's pretty Darwinian thinking there (not entirely incorrect though).

Probably doesn't mix too good with the Bush'ist creationalist hegemony of Uber-Federal state. Our side or theirs pal. SmileWavy
