One can not make copies of classified documents, only proscribed security people can do that. One can not remove them from the cleared area without signing out for them and having a required classified container in which to store them. One can make notes, but the notes can not contain classified data.

He should not have had his clearance reinstated. If he has any expertise that would ever be needed again, he could get an iterim/temporary clearance as needed.

What's new about this old story is Burglar changed his story last Friday. In the old version of the story, he claimed stuffing documents into his socks was all just an "honest mistake".

But before U.S. Magistrate Deborah Robinson last Friday he stated, he intentionally took and deliberately destroyed 3 copies of the same document which detailed terror threats during the Clinton Administration!

Personally, I'm not sure why he would do such a thing - I'm sure there was no incriminating evidence in there anywhere and that explains the lack of any news coverage :D

Exactly, which is why I didn't make a huge stink about it until now. Part of me thought "hey, maybe I'm over-reacting out of partisonship, I mean even the Republicans on the hill are letting this go..........maybe it was a semi-honest mistake".
