Does anyone else wear a chew toy to bed?

Get your mind out of the gutter, boy!

I'm talking about a night guard to keep from grinding your teeth to nubs. My jaw has been aching lately and last week had to go to the dentist because I couldn't close my mouth. Seems when I'm under a lot of stress, I clench my jaw tightly in my sleep so my face muscles do not relax.

Looks like I'll be wearing a chew toy to sleep. The thing is expensive and insurance won't cover it. Oh well, it's cheaper than having to get all of my teeth capped due to loss of enamel.

My dentist has told me I should wear one, but I haven't been willing to cough up the cash for one.

My dentist made one for me years ago and it works great.

My ex-wife chewed her teeth at night and the grinding noise drove me batty until we got one for her.

I had surgery as a kid and the doctor damaged my jaw socket, so thats why I wear one to relocate things while I sleep but it does make me feel better.

I did for a while then decided that I need to chill more and give a fuch less. Have not had to wear it for a couple of years.

My wife wears one. The doctor recommended it saying she was also damaging/wearing her jaw hinge. We both get better sleep, and she doesn't get headaches associated with the stress.
