http primer?
Can someone point me to a page where all of the http basic tools are, like for italicizing, etc.? Specifically I want to know how to make paragraphs in an ebay listing, as it is they just bundle all of your words together into one paragraph no matter how you type it. (Frustrating).
I am not the most web-savvy guy in the world, but always willing to learn. TIA. ![]() |

Denis,
I had seen something like that in Ebay at one time. Not sure if they still have tips there or not. Just did a google search and found these: http://www.htmlgoodies.com/primers/html/article.php/3478131 http://www.htmlprimer.com/lessons/lesson1.html Hope this helps... Joe

PS, if all you want to know is doing a paragraph I believe that its < p > insert comments < / p >
Take the spaces out between <> to make it form a paragraph. If I do it the way I should the <> go away and make a paragraph and that does not show you anything.

Too big to fail

Actually, you want an HTML primer, not HTTP, unless you're looking how to properly form a tcp get call
![]() Here's some common tags: <p> - paragraph break <br> - line break <i>text</i> - italics - note the closing tag - that's important <b>text</b> - bold (again with the closing tag) <img src=http://link.to.your.image.jpg> image tag And here's a cheat sheet: http://www.psacake.com/web/dy.asp

The way I find an ad I like, then view the source page and copy the parts I need. I then type in what I need to.

Thanks, guys! Yeah, HTML. That's what I meant. No wonder I could not find help googling "HTTP help".
Steve, how do I view a source page? (I have a Mac, if that makes a difference). Thanks again, Joe/Thom/SV/HD/Steve. |

It is pretty easy. You can just change something and then preview it. Paste the ad you like to a word document and then just make variations. Change the font size , color, indentations, etc.

Create sample/test html file with your favorite txt editor and view them locally, simple way to learn.
html for dummies or similar online primers will get you going in no time. |
