F-15 Lands with one wing

I'm a huge F-15 fan and I've seen pictures of the one that landed with one wing. Was forwarded this video link from a History Channel piece:

http://www.whoisthemonkey.com/videos/f15flyingwith1wing.wmv

Wow.

My closest friend was a 15 jockey. The calmest, most deliberate unassuming guy you'd want to meet. We'd be a bar and a girl would ask, "What do you do?" He'd say, "I sell vacuum cleaners" or something. He's landed one with an engine hanging half-way out. I think when you've seen Mach 2 and 6g's, cockpit fires and been shot at, everything else seems is ordinary.

(edit - grammar)

I don't mean to correct you but at that point - everything else doesn't "Seem" ordinary - it is ordinary.

Shouldn't the quote be:

"The beatings will continue until morale improves."

That's nothing, I driven my 911 with three pulled head studs! (just kidding!) Pilots, especially military ones sure impress me, flying is dangerous enough without people trying to shoot you down!!

That plane was an Israeli F-15I IIRC, and actually collided with an A-4 Skyhawk, again IIRC.
