haven't seen it yet, but my brother visited my dad and said we got a bottle of that generic cologne that's basically 'brut', but packaged under a gazillion diffeent brand names.

My parents got me a copy of George Carlin's "Brain Droppings" (good gift, but I already own a copy and have read it).

Actually, you should probably eat them. Lots of antioxidants with those calories (more if it's dark chocolate ).

My daughter got a cabbage patch doll - UAH (- there just invented a new abbreviation)

A color-coordinated set of gloves, knit cap and scarf...they're in fleece too. I live in Southern California for God's sake!

The only problem, my apple-of-my-eye, struggling grad student daughter gave them to me! So I think this means they go into a drawer for the next time I need to run out to NEW HAMPSHIRE for milk!

Merry Christmas Dan,
Mom showed me 'presents' that I had given her over the years, she has stuff going back to my kindergarden days.

Merry (belated) Christmas and Happy New Year to you too Rika.

Yeah, I meet all the "min quals" for doting idiot father. I've got the requisite Christmas ornament made from a cottage cheese container lid with the picture of my daughter from kindergarten, the glitter and lace around the edge. I STILL have a long ribbon hanging in my office with the Little League and Girls softball buttons with the kids pictures on them....and my kids are 24 and 25 years old! On my nightstand is a picture of me holding at arm's length my then 1 and 2 year old kids dressed in their OshKosh overalls and squeeling in delight. It is my favorite.
