Is this guy really wearing a red nightie in Public?

Took my daughter out for her 21 b-day last night at a local Japanese place, this guy was across from us. Does it look to you like he's wearing a red silk nightie an red silk bathrobe? Not that there's anything wrong with that mind you:rolleyes: You just don't see that very often here in Santa Clarita.

Oh, and since you'll ask, here's a pic of the b-day girl as well.

Not really the kind of guy I want to be sitting next to... at least you cannot see a bra on him but who knows.

Joe

PS Hope you have a big shotgun. She sure is cute but bet you know that already. Something about a former Marine for a dad, sitting out on the front steps cleaning a .45 ACP that puts future boyfriends in the "correct" frame of mind when picking up your daughter for a date! :)

It looks like a red scarf and a polo shirt. Why'd you take a picture of him?
That's a little strange.

coloradoporsche 12-22-2006 07:09 PM

I probably wouldn't have given it a second thought. Certainly wouldn't have taken pictures of the man and posted on the internet to invite ridicule.

Hugh R 12-22-2006 07:09 PM

Joe

I just tell her dates that I have 18 acres, a shovel and a bag of lime.

K.

You'd have to see it up close it wasn't a polo shirt, it was shiny and (I think) had straps. It wasn't a scarf either, it was some kind of a nightgown looking thing. My family thought it was strange, I was just goofing when I took the pic, told them I was going to post it here for fun.

Hugh,

I think it is pretty cool that your daughter chose to spend her 21st b'day with you.

Usmellgass2? 12-22-2006 07:46 PM

The guy ....

1 lost a bet

2 is a 3 dollar bill

either way he has made a spectacle of him self and it is perfectly fair to present his image.

Your daughter is an angel, mine is the same age and I love to see her shine.

Hugh R 12-22-2006 07:55 PM

coloradoporsche, fair enough. But when you go out in public......

Big Ed, Usmellgasss2:

She's graduating from UCSB with a degree in accounting (in three, not four years) and one of the big accouting firms gave her a firm job offer in her junior year to join when she graduates and will pay for her to take CPA classes. She's also going to work on her Series 7 (Stock Broker) license, and she's a Girl Scout Gold, the equivalent of an Eagle Scout. This girl is WAY smarter than me and most of you on the board, I'll bet.

Boy, the mother must be beautiful. ;)

Sonic dB 12-22-2006 11:35 PM

Maybe he is the Scarlett Maharishi out for a night on the town

Nostril Cheese 12-22-2006 11:57 PM

Just your typical emo hipster scooter nerd from Cal Arts..

one fine lookin girl, sir.

Sonic dB 12-22-2006 11:59 PM

Maybe it was Jim Carrey prepping for a new role as the Scarlett Maharishi.

Sonic dB 12-23-2006 12:00 AM

yeah the girl is cute and so mature looking for 21...meaning she looks like a woman. :)

Steve PH 12-23-2006 12:07 AM

Damn! I can't believe I have been spotted and photographed out in puiblic, shame you didn't get my legs in shot I was wearing my favourite kinky high heel boots, stockings and a very short mini skirt. :D

BTW Your daughter is very pretty.

Porsche 12-23-2006 12:51 AM

I think that guy may have been wearing a red japanese outfit (like a male version of a kimono) but I could be wrong. :) It is a japanese restaurant - maybe he wanted to dress for the occasion.

livi 12-23-2006 02:55 AM

Itīs the youngest Son of Santa. Struggling for a bit of modern look without loosing the Christmas touch and annoying his father. Not even a white beard. Whatīs the world come to.

If you dress like that in public you automatically open yourself up to ridicule. Plain and simple.

slakjaw 12-23-2006 03:53 AM

They are both out of my league.

Happy birthday!!

azasadny 12-23-2006 04:43 AM

Looks like a metrosexual to me...

billyboy 12-23-2006 04:47 AM

your daughter

There are few, if any, feelings as good as the deep heartfelt pride that wells up within you when your kids turn out good. Congratulations on a job well done.:)
