Premium food makes a difference in my dogs volume. Smells less foul too.

I agree that Walmart ain't exactly a gathering of future Supreme Court justices....and I'm not clad in my sartorial best when I go there either...but then again neither is most of the people I see at the car swap meets I go to either.

Just between you and me? I go to Walmart to get my dog food and such too. I'm not always very happy about who goes there....but I'm pretty sure they feel the same way too

Oh, I noticed that too. I really stepped in it this time! Pretty funny though, how some people think that they are better than others. Usually guaged by money. Just notice how high class Paris Hilton and Brittany Spears are!Anyways, I love to save money, it's really like a game to me, finding the best prices on things. It is an important part of my job and my success makes my boss happy.

Billyboy,

It is not the folks that go there that tick me off, after all they are just trying to pay the least for the stuff they want.

For me, it is the way they merchandise their products, offer limited selections for many staples that I may want to buy, and the reported treatment of their employees that gets my goat.

Yeah, I hate the place, it's just way to crowded for me. The people for the most part are from a vastly different socio-economic strata than me, but that doesn't repulse or bother me. I have worked with people from all classes through out my life. Some from all classes totaly suck and some from all classes are fine people. same with colors and ethnicity. It's pretty silly to try to generalize based on outward appearences or shopping habits. I don't care for what wal mart has done to small business, but it's capitalism and that's the way it works. I try to patronize the small local businesses as much as possible. I guess this should move over to the wal mart thread.

My Old English Sheepdog does the walk and poop thing also so it isn't limited to labs. For those that have burn spots in their lawn from the pee add a tablespoon of tomato juice to their food and the burn spots stop.

Christmas eve and I'm sitting here on the internet reading about how other people's dogs take a dump. I need to get a life! BTW, my two dogs for the most part go out in the back 18 acres do whatever they do.

I have three great Danes! Each and every month they go through 150Lbs. of dry food and 3 cases of canned food. And yes what goes in must come out. The only way to deal with this is to pick up daily. Takes 10 mins. for my son to earn his allowance every day.

you fellas should come spend a day in my job...over 20 dogs doing the #2 indoors! DO NOT GO IN THERE....after a hard night of drinking. lol
Amazing, all of my dogs are trained to attack...yet none of them are in the 100lb range. You guys need smaller dogs. ha ha

EDIT: if you switch to a high calorie dog food you can feed them less and they wil produce less.

Mike,

If it does not come up to your knee, its not a dog, its a football.

Used to have a Malemute and loved that pup, but could it ever produce fertilizer. Know what you mean about this subject!

I think the key is using a highly digestible food source like lamb and rice. My 85 lb. girl has surprisingly small movements. She is a few pounds heavy, so I know she is getting plenty to eat. Daily exercise is also important to keep things moving, a couple of small piles to me is better than one big one.

PS: yes, she is a little bit spoiled, but knows her bounds. She is a rescue, loves us, a great dog and deserves it

Sam and Pascha leave 'meatloaf size' bricks , Murphy leave peebles.
Scoop patrol daily..then play catch. 35 degrees this morning and Sam is in the pool AGAIN.
Love them

Warning!

Grocery store plastic bags often have holes in the bottom! Check carefully before using.

Don't ask me how I know...

If you eat too much oat bran and oat meal you would have the same problem... The stuff in your gut multiplies exponentially on that stuff. Apparently the better dog food has less fiber filler and more protein - therefore less doggie-do. We need a balance off all kinds of food. In nature dogs (wolfs) are 99% carnivors.
